Will never fly Air France again. I had a flight from PTP Guadeloupe to Miami (3.5h flight) scheduled. I was staying in Miami one night to visit friends and had a separate flight to LAX the next day. The day before my flight to Miami, I received an email from Air France stating my PTP-MIA was cancelled with no option to rebook on a similar flight. When I called AF, customer service agent stated the only way to travel back to the US before monday morning was to travel via Paris. I had to cancel my non-refundable hotel in miami and flight to LAX and instead flew Air France PTP-CDG-LAX (22h flight). When I arrived at the PTP Guadeloupe airport, imagine my surprise (and anger) when I see the PTP-MIA flight listed as having left on time earlier that day. I have spoken to several AF agents in person and on the phone and no one is willing to give me an explication or reason for the cancellation, offer accommodations or take any accountability. I suspect Air France had overbooked the flight and kicked me off of it to sell my seat to someone else. I have filed an online complaint and request for compensation for my cancelled hotel/flight and received a response from AF stating they are not able to respond to me any time soon due to high volume of complaints...

Flew from MIA-CDG (with an onward connection). I thought I would post to let anyone who reads the standards of Air France have definitely gone down. The B777 we flew was old....and dated. There was literally no beverage service. The dinner cart came by with the first drink order. (Just wine or beer/soft drinks it seemed). There was no cheese/crackers. There was a coleslaw salad and a chicken and rice dish. Small cake for appetizer. The breakfast was a overdone baguette slice which was way overbaked.

My Experience with KLM: A Cautionary Tale for Travelers I want to share my experience with KLM Airlines to help others navigate potential travel challenges. My journey, which began in May 2024, has been a seven-month struggle to resolve an issue involving lost luggage and the handling of a situation that impacted my wife, who has a disability. Despite multiple attempts to work with KLM, their responses have been inconsistent. At first, they assured me they were looking into the matter, but later changed their position. The latest claim is that I voluntarily declined to wait for a flight the next day—despite the fact that only one seat was available, and I was traveling with two others. In addition to the lost luggage, I have had difficulties obtaining the required delayed baggage report, which is necessary for my two travel insurance companies (Travel Guard and Generali). Without this document, I am unable to file an insurance claim, even though I am entitled to compensation. I have filed complaints with the Department of Transportation (DOT) and the Attorney General’s Office, but I have yet to receive a meaningful response. After exhausting all options, I am now considering filing a case in small claims court in San Francisco. My goal in sharing this is not to vent frustration, but to ensure that other travelers are aware of potential challenges when dealing with KLM. I strongly encourage anyone flying with them to document every detail of their trip, including emails, receipts, and any correspondence. Have you had a similar experience with KLM or another airline? I’d love to hear your insights. #KLM #TravelIssues #AirlineCustomerService #LostLuggage #KnowYourRights

A Nightmarish Flight with Air France and KLM: A Cautionary Tale My recent journey with Air France and KLM was a harrowing experience that I'll never forget. From the moment I stepped onboard, it was evident that this airline was more interested in maximizing profits than providing a satisfactory customer experience. The flight attendants were dismissive and arrogant, treating passengers with a sense of entitlement that was both shocking and offensive. Their lack of empathy and professionalism was a stark contrast to the courteous service I've come to expect from reputable airlines. The food and beverages offered were a disgrace. The meals were meager and unappetizing, and the drinks were watered down. It's clear that Air France and KLM are cutting corners to save costs, sacrificing passenger comfort and satisfaction in the process. But the truly unacceptable behavior came to light when my baggage was delayed. Despite repeated attempts to contact their customer service, I received little to no assistance. The airline seemed more concerned with avoiding responsibility than resolving my issue. Their handling of my delayed baggage claim was a complete disgrace, characterized by denial, evasion, and utter disregard for my concerns. I strongly advise travelers to avoid Air France and KLM at all costs. Their poor customer service, unacceptable food and beverages, disorganized operations, and unethical handling of delayed baggage make them one of the worst airlines I've ever flown with. Let's make our voices heard and ensure that other travelers are aware of the risks associated with flying with these airlines. #AirFranceKLM #WorstAirlineEver #CustomerServiceNightmare #BoycottAirFranceKLM #TravelHorrorStory #TravelNightmare #AirlineFail #AirlineComplaints #TravelComplaints #ConsumerRights #FlightDelay #DelayedBaggage #LostBaggage #TravelTips #AirlineReviews #AvoidAtAllCosts

A Nightmare Experience with Air France and KLM I recently had the most frustrating and disappointing travel experience with Air France and KLM. My baggage was delayed for an astonishing 56 days, and upon its eventual return, I discovered that it had been significantly damaged and its contents were scattered. Despite repeated attempts to contact Air France and KLM customer service, I received little to no assistance. Their lack of urgency and evasive tactics were a clear indication that they were more concerned with avoiding responsibility than resolving my issue. The emotional distress and inconvenience caused by this delay and damage were significant. I was unable to fully enjoy my trip due to the lack of essential items, and the uncertainty surrounding the whereabouts of my belongings added to my frustration. I would strongly advise anyone considering Air France and KLM to think twice. Their handling of delayed baggage claims is unacceptable, and I have no confidence in their ability to provide adequate customer service.

A Delayed Journey: My Baggage Saga My journey began on June 28th, a seemingly ordinary day until my baggage vanished into the labyrinth of airline logistics. My flight from Marrakech, Morocco, to New York marked the start of a frustrating ordeal that would test my patience and resilience. Upon arrival, I discovered my luggage was nowhere to be found. I immediately filed a claim at JFK Terminal 1, obtaining a claim number and a phone number to call. Despite repeated attempts, I was unable to reach anyone by phone. Frustrated, I even took cabs to the airport multiple times in hopes of getting answers, but there was no trace of my baggage. Despite repeated attempts to contact Air France and KLM customer service, I received little to no assistance. The initial shock soon turned into a mounting sense of frustration as days turned into weeks with no sign of my belongings. As time passed, my anxiety grew. My suitcase contained essential items, including toiletries, clothing, and valuable electronics. Without my belongings, I felt stranded and unable to fully enjoy my trip. After a staggering 56 days of waiting, I finally retrieved my baggage upon my return to Marrakech on August 22nd. However, upon inspection, I was appalled to discover that the suitcase had been significantly damaged. The contents were scattered. I was dismayed to discover that the airline had gone through the contents of my suitcase without my consent. They had merely needed to match the bag tag, a task that could have been easily accomplished without violating my privacy. The airline's violation of its own policy regarding lost baggage (after 45 days), coupled with their lack of urgency and evasive tactics, have left me feeling frustrated and disrespected. I believe their primary concern was to avoid responsibility rather than resolve my issue. Their handling of delayed baggage claims is unacceptable, and I have no confidence in their ability to provide adequate customer service.

Booked a holiday for my kids 16th and 18th making memories instead of buying material stuff. The day of flying out Kml lost my tickets and found them 10 minutes after check-in had closed, would not put us on the next flight. So my kids missed out on there holiday. I'm still waiting on a refund it's been a month and they telling me I'm not entitled to it then saying it's been payed which it has not, I'm just getting passed from pillow to post. Not to mention the hotel and everything we payed for. Won't not recommend this company to anyone anything I tell everyone to avoid them

My suitcase was delayed on my outbound flight from Toronto to Montpellier. I was told at the airport to spend 100 euros on essential and make a claim when I got home. I arrived home within the 21 days in which a claim needed to be made. Again my suitcase was delayed on my return flight with Air France with my receipts for making the claim in it. When my suitcase was finally delivered it was past the 21 day grace period and the claim was denied. If you need to make a claim with this airline don't wait. Do it as soon as your suitcase arrives and before they have a chance to lose it again,

I was not able to take this flight. I canceled and they told me because my flight was non-refundable that they would give me a credit. What they FAILED to mention was that if I accepted the taxes back from the flight, it would WHIP OUT THE CREDIT! So I lost $1800.00USD. I called and spoke to their customer service department. I was disconnected several times, dealt with people whom couldn't connect me with a supervisor, and in one instance dealt with an EXTREMELY RUDE individual who told me to go to the website and complain. I will NEVER FLY with this company EVER!!!

Our baggage did not make it to the destination airport. AirFrance told me initially that I will get them the day after (today) - which I have been told is no longer the case, right now I already expect them tomorrow. I live in the Czech Republic and I have spent 1 month abroad. I took casual, business, and gym clothes. I am going to buy at least business and gym clothes so I can make it through tomorrow. AirFrance does not want to compensate for the costs involved as they say I have a permanent, and not a temporary address. I don’t care what the policy says, this is going to cost me money and make me waste time. The whole experience of missing a baggage starts at the airport, where you are waiting for longer as your bags do not come, filling all the paperwork on the baggage claim desk, having to call the company and waiting for customer service so you can get to follow up, and wasting time shopping for things that you already have. How is it possible that a customer can not be compensated for such a cost, waste of time, and bad experience?

Horrible. Horrible food. Headphones broke during regular use. They lost my checked luggage and I ended up with a hideous sunburn scar on my face because my sunblock was in there. Had to go buy EVERYTHING I needed for my trip including clothes in rural Brazil. They didn't deliver my bag until a WEEK later. Was told by the employee at the airport that I would be compensated 60 euros per day I'm without my bag. Now they're telling me that they don't do that. I'll never fly with this airline again.

I have taken over 100 flights, this (Air France) is by far the worst airline I have ever flown. Cancelled my flight on the way out, and 4 days later did the same for my return flight. Delayed me over 24hrs, made no effort to make amends. Cedric who was working at the Airfrance desk at 11pm on the night 24.11.22, when my flight was cancelled, was totally unhelpful. He treated my situation with distain and had the empathy of a mortician. He made no effort to assist, he did the bare minimum. When I suggested this approach was leading to a bad review for his employer, he smiled for the first time and said "Go ahead.". Shame on you Air France, and shame on Cedric not valuing his employers reputation. Do not fly this airline, you have far better choices. Let my experience be a warning, not bitten once but bitten twice shy. I will not allow Air France to cancel a 3td flight on me again, twice in a row was enough.

Two of our 3 flights were on Air France. Cabin crew were polite and attentive. The flights, however, both encountered problems. FIRST flight: Towards end of the flight the cabin crew is giving detailed instructions to the exit row passengers. One of our row mates clocks that there are emergency crews, including a fire trunk, on the runway. We land safely, but the emergency crews follow our plane to its parking place. The pilot tells us that we experienced "technical difficulties". Handled professionally, but it was still scary. I wonder why the cabin crew waited until there was an actual problem to give instructions to the exit row people? SECOND flight: Night landing. Clouds, but not many. Plane gets closer to the runway we suddenly hear the engines get louder and feel the plane pull strongly upwards. The pilots were aborting the landing. Second attempt was good. Both of these flights occurred on the same day. We will be choosing other carriers in the future.

This is the WORSE airline! We arrived to baggage claim in CDG, only for our bags NOT to be there. We were told it was lost, and they tried to deliver it 2 days later. The worker said they tried to deliver it and should have called us. However, there was NO call. We setup another delivery for August 7th, and they never called nor showed up. When we call or chat with Air France to get it rectified, we get told they are having a problem with baggage infrastructure or that they can't access the baggage info and the delivery operator will have to call us. Going without 80% of your clothes for 3+ weeks and counting is NOT acceptable. I will NEVER fly Air France again and I will NEVER fly to CDG. Fast forward to today, our experience leaving Paris was worse. We sat in line for 3 hours, ultimately missing our flight. We were sent to 3 different desks for rebooking, only to be sent to another desk. Air France is the WORSE. I don't care how badly you want to travel to Paris, I would avoid Air France.

The worst customer service in the industry. Put on hold on the 800 number for over an hour multiple times. Sometimes disconnected. Service reps appeared to be working out of their homes considering the background noise ( children, people cooking…) and never have been able to resolve the issue. Their customer email address does not get a response for weeks with a generic response saying they are unable to take care of the request due to overwhelming requests.

Great flight from BUD to SVO via CDG with Air France. At the time it is the cheapest option to get to Moscow from Budapest (along with KLM) and is much cheaper than Aeroflot or Wizz Air on selected route (not in general). Flight from Budapest departed on time and breakfast consistent of one croissant is rather modest but I took 3 and 2 cans (150ml) of Cola. There is no alcohol beverages on morning flights, Cabin crew was polite. From CDG I had 1 hour delay, which made me nervous as I had a short connection with separate booking in SVO, but arrival was only 30 minutes late, so not bad. Lunch is already better in terms of quantity (quality is high in general), I took two lunch sets. Legroom is good, customer support as well. I had to change my flight back and it was easy. I checked in my hand luggage as in Air France you can do it free of charge. Next time I fly from BSL to CDG and will also make a report.

Air France casually lost my luggage on a two leg journey from Luxembourg to Paris then onward to Miami. Upon arrival to Miami it was discovered that my bank and many other passengers' bags did not make the flight. This began the arduous task of getting information from Air France about what happened and the status of my luggage. It is the end of day 4 and no update available. Social media does not respond, calling by phone is fruitless as the wait times is inhumane. I filed a claim that has not even been looked at. Reviewing status updates for both my bag and the claim I submitted yield not a single update. My bag contains clothing needed for my trip, shoes, medication and grooming equipment. The blase approach to customer inquiries and issues is highly unprofessional and demeaning. I would not recommend this airline to anyone if this is how they treat customers, especially in these times when human kindness is needed.

Air France have for the second time in as many trips cancelled my early arrival into Accra Ghana. A flight that was supposed to arrive into Ghana at 17.45 now arrives at 21.40. They didn't even have the decency to move the outward flight from the original 9.00am departure so as to minimize waiting time. So to recap, their proposal is leave at 09.00 to arrive at 21.40. For a flight to Ghana. Not Hong Kong, Ghana which is around 6 hours away. So their depriving me of one whole day in effect. That seems to be Air France's default approach, make the passenger worse off. The last time I flew with them (to my Father's funeral) they cancelled my Saturday departure and put me on the Sunday flight. Around an hour of phone calls later I was moved to the Friday service. And during that flight I never did receive the glass of cognac I requested post my meal. The first time I have flown with a national carrier and wasn't served cognac as part of the bar service. This time around, again I'm worse off. I will never choose this carrier again

First, the flight, food and service were great. My issue is with the baggage policy. We flew business class from Atlanta to CDG, then had an internal France flight to Marseille. We returned on a flight from Lyon to CDG, then business class from CDG to Atlanta. Business class was not offered on the internal France flights. Business class is allowed 2 checked bags. This wasn't a problem on the outbound trip. On our return we had to pay excess baggage fees because the first leg of our flight was economy and we were only allowed 1 bag each. Multiple calls to AF customer service indicates this is their policy. The originating leg dictates the baggage allowance. So be aware even if you fly business class if one of your legs doesn't offer that level, you don't get the full benefits of business class.

I did not have a good experience with Air France customer service at baggage check in. I checked in one baggage (which was small and carry on size) and was planning on hand carrying my other baggage which was even smaller and within weight requirements since it was filled with fragile souvenirs. I was told that both baggage were to be checked in because the flight was full and that more than likely I was going to have to check it in at the gate anyway since overhead space was limited. The customer service agent was snippy and said I had to check both baggage. Originally I argued with her asking why I couldn't have my carry on baggage (besides my purse) and was constantly told there would be know overhead room because of the full flight. I ended up agreeing with her, because the line behind me was getting longer and I did not want to miss my flight, only to find that once I boarded there would have been more than enough room in the overhead bins. Definitely poor customer service.

I would think twice before using Air France especially from Lagos Nigeria The staff at the boarding gate acted inappropriately. A member of baggage check at the boarding gate, identified as Mr ODILI was unprofessional, rude and corrupt. He demanded a bribe from me because my hand luggage was slightly over weight at the boarding gate, I watched in horror as he allowed passengers with much more excess weight go through right in my presence, perhaps they bribed him, I removed two packs of sweets bought for my daughter and refused to give him the bribe. I won’t use Air France again from Lagos Nigeria.

AF flight operated by Delta. Our flight from Montego Bay to Atlanta on November 12, 2018 was planned for 4:42pm. Due to a technical issue, the plane didn't take off and another one was sent from Atlanta. The so-called "rescue" plane didn't take off from ATL before 8pm and we only left MBJ at 00:15 on the 13th. In consequence we spent the whole day at the airport (we arrived at 2:15pm). We weren't offered to stay in a hotel close by and I even had to ask the staff for something to eat. We landed in Atlanta around 3am and were charged a no show fee at the hotel. We also had to pay for the transport to the hotel as airport shuttles don't run at this time. AF customer service that's supposed to take care of that refused to compensate us as it is a US company operating a US flight. Doesn't matter that we BOOKED from AF. Is it really our problem that they delegate the flight to a partner? Even scarier: that "technical" issue was apparently a leak that prevented the plane to take off, however the plane just flew from ATL. So, there's no customer service but there's also no maintenance!? Cheap ass airline company we will never fly again.

This was our honeymoon trip and me and my wife were not seated together, even though the tickets were purchased together on the same booking. If I wanted to change the seats I had to pay and the customer service representatives at Charles de Gaulle airport did not show any interest to resolve my problem. They blamed it on me and kept repeating like a broken record "Zue Sistem". I have never had this problem with any other airline before, seats were always together. For our honeymoon we had 6 different flights with 4 different airlines, and this is the only one that failed to seat us together. The flight crew did not care either. I had to go around asking people to change seats, basically blocking the aisle and delaying loading of the plane, still they did not care and did not want to help at all. If you want your family to seat together for your trip choose another airline. Also if you wanted to be treated like a valued customer choose another airline, Air France will treat you like cattle.

The Air France team both on board and in terminals were not service oriented, were arrogant and less than helpful. There were no announcements from the flight crew regarding the delays in landing, on the tarmac and at the gate. The on board team delayed our deplaning until all of first class passengers had exited the aircraft and cleaning crews were cleaning the first class cabin. There were no team members available as we deplaned to assist us in traversing the Paris airport to make our connecting flight. The Air France personnel in Customer Service were arrogant, lacking compassion and understanding, and lied to us about the availability of earlier flights to reschedule our missed connection. These team members refused to obtain our luggage for us when we found and booked our own connecting flight with Aegean. The Air France website will not accept your claim/complaint submission without your inclusion of personal bank account information - after the way we were treated, there was not a chance that I would share that personal information on their website. The response from Air France has been underwhelming - they have abdicated responsibility and have made no efforts to even come close to "walking the talk" of their Commitments to Customer Service.

Air France told us the carry on bag was too heavy and made us get in another line to pay 100 euros to check a bag that fit into their holder but they said it could not exceed 8 kg and it was 12 kg. After we paid and arrived home, we discovered the bag WAS within the weight limit of 12 kg and have nothing to prove that we were over charged. In addition, we when arrived home we realized that gifts we had purchased abroad had been taken our of the bag. We have no recourse for that either since we traveled Air France and a domestic carrier the same day.

And when I was on board of another airline they called me from Airfrance saying sorry and admitting their mistake. No any transit visa requirement for me. Such a "smart" gesture. It has been a month since then but nothing has been refunded yet, no answers to any of my complaint letters no answers to my calls. Their customer service is awful, as well as ground staff. Air France has been a terrible experience for me. Our flight out of Paris was held for 40 minutes past the departure time for a few passangers. Consequently, we missed our connecting flight in Atlanta that we should have been able to make if we had the additional 40 minutes. I flew with my partner and 4 children (3,5,13,15); I booked flights with AF, ended up with China. This flight was my worst experience ever; I fly regularly international, multipl times a year, various airlines, economy, business and first class. The crew was unable to verbally communicate; crew/passengers would attempt to cross on the other side of the cabin stepping on our feet and our stuff They separated us in three groups of 3,2 and 1 in Guangzhou and on the plane tried to split us further to accommodate other passengers on an overbooked flight In Guangzhou and Paris we spent 3-4 hours in line with crying children in arms. In China were denied a Segway without batteries, which we disposed costing AUD1200 in replacement The six of us had only 2 bags in total and the Chinese attempted to charge us, 3hours after they checked the bags in for 2.7kg unbalanced excess weight. No WiFi, phone not allowed even plane mode,

Flight from Paris to Lisbon sat on tarmac for over 3 hours while they tried to fix a problem with the hydraulics to no avail. Then we were taken off the plane and had to scramble to get to another gate and another plane. Only offered water while waiting and that was after about 2 hours of waiting in place..After flying all night from Los Angeles missed our transportation from Lisbon airport to hotel so had to pay for cab also missed supper with my sister who travelled from Spain to spend time with my wife and I before we departed on a cruise 2 days later. On return flight from Frankfurt to Paris I am not sure what kind of plane it was but,it did not have logo of Air France and I think we travelled from the terminal to our plane on a bus for about 15 minutes and when we landed in Paris for our flight back to USA we were not even close to the terminal and had to take 2 different busses to catch our flight, luckily it was held for us but our luggage did not make it. I did appreciate that they held the flight but it was originally booked so as to have plenty of time to make, our connection and not have to literally run to catch it.
