Overall amazing flight and good service

My experience with Air Serbia is bad. On my way to JFK I had an accident and ended up at the hospital. I did manage to cancel my flight 3h prior to the flight. In addition I have sent them all necessary proofes (admition to the hospital, doctors opinion and photos) and they told me that I need to pay for the new ticket since I was not hospitalized. Too bad! Not professional at all!

Very unsatisfide with the experience. I traveled with Air Serbi from NYC to Belgrade several times already and when it was first lauched the service that excellent, but I can't say the same now. The service is poor. I believe many airlines have better service in economy cabin. The food is very bad. I ordered vegetarian, but the flight attendant told me they don't have it anymore. Then I saw a person next to me was eating vegetarian. Almost impossible to get attention of flight attendants. Much worse service than it used to be. For the money you pay this air line is not worth it. I much rather fly with another airline than this one. When it comes to business class they are way behind the competition.

I flyed from Belgrade to Berlin with new Airbus A319.A319 has good economy class with pillows and comfort seats.Meal is snack:sandwich, cookie and selection of drinks. My trip was very good!

This has nothing to do with what Jat used to be. My flights were both on time, service was impecable and the planes are decent a319 (compared to old jat 737 fleet). Food is probably one of the best offered on the European short haul market.

I flew 2 times with Air Serbia from Frankfurt International Airport to Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport. The flight was pretty cheap so i did not expect a lot of service.. BUT the plane was clean and very new, the staff dressed well and very polite. Every information given could be understood. I had a sandwich and orange juice on this 2h flight and everything was tasty (just as tasty as sandwiches in planes can be). Water, cola, juices, coffee and tea have been availible - thats only what i have seen. I think there has been a bigger varity . The landing was very soft and the flight very silent. The first flight was with JAT and a half year later it got renamed in Air Serbia. Absolutely recommendable.

On August 13 we had a flight from Belgrad to JFK I had three luggage is one out of the three luggage is arrived at JFK we filed a claim at JFK for the two lost ledges I have sense hundreds of emails I’ve made hundreds of phone calls just trying to get a hold of someone at a AirSerbia You can’t get a hold of anybody you just get an automated response on the emails after four months I finally reached out to air Serbia in Chicago they are the only ones that gave me any kind of feedback is for months and I still don’t have my luggage is it’s four months and air Serbia has yet to tell me anything about my luggages I am convinced that an employees from Air Serbia Are stealing peoples luggage’s many people Are complaining that their baggage is are lost missing delayed and what makes that even worse is you can’t get a hold of a human on air Serbia in New York no one wants to take responsibility either they’re extremely overstaffed or extremely unprofessional I would say they check off on both

I bought a ticket for 18.06. however as I was prevented from traveling (corona virus) I had to postpone the flight for 02.07. I called the call center and they said I had to pay 90e because of the price difference. In the meantime, I had to reschedule the flight for 09.07. and again to pay another 50e. Due to the impossibility of traveling, I wanted to postpone the flight again, but since I no longer knew for which date I wanted to leave the ticket open and use it until the end of this year, which they did not allow, and I had to choose another date and pay 50e again. In the end, I did not want to pay for the postponement of the ticket again, and I asked for a refund. I paid 300e for the ticket and they only refunded me 55e for airport taxes. I couldn’t get the rest of the money because the flight was operational. Btw they don't reply to e-mails and the call center can hardly be reached.

Travelled in June/July 2014 from Amsterdam to Belgrade and vice versa with newly established company Air Serbia (JAT and JU does not exist anymore). I was very satisfied with their services. I hope they will keep up with the best aviation standards in the future.

They lost my luggage on the 24th of June from our flight from Paris to Zadar and even now on the 27th of July, they have still not replied to my emails in regards to the whereabouts of my luggage or my claim for compensation. I would recommend anyone to never ever consider flying with Air Serbia as this situation has not only happened to me, but my entire group of twelve friends during our month travels to Europe. We all ended up having to spend an extra €200-300 buying new clothes, bags and toiletries, not to mention losing $1000 worth of belongings that I am being refused compensation for.

Flew several times with them but this is where i draw the line. - Lost our luggage and after 3 days since we landed, they are unable to deliver it although they had promised to do so the evening on the day we landed. Customer service rarely picks up the phone and their delivery service is extremely rude and did not honor 2 appointments we scheduled with them so far. Three days later we are still waiting for our luggage to be delivered. - From terrible to almost nothing that can be regarded as food even though this is not a budget airline. In our last flight they randomly gave to people super tiny cheese or meat sandwiches without asking people what they would like, since they did not have enough of either option for people to choose from (our first leg was over 2 hours long). - Bad service on the ground with multiple unnecessary checks of the same documents at different checkpoints (In Belgrade checked passport and boarding card before the gate, at the gate, during x-ray and before getting on the transfer bus!). - Service on the air is average at best. Flight attendants are completely disconnected from passengers with robot-like behavior. - To the most part, old planes with worn-of

A320 London to Belgrade Economy . Overall a great experience. The Aircraft had a newly fitted bright and pleasant interior. The crew were polite and attentive. The on board food offering was hot, with a choice of chicken or beef and very tasty. I would say the food is probably the best you will get in economy within Europe. The Fight was on time with no delays or problems. As a full service Airline I think they are offering a great product if you are travelling to or from Belgrade.

Flayed with Air Serbia couple of times now and the impressions are quite positive. They made significant effort in comparison with older company (JAT), planes are newer, everything was under the procedure, timing almost perfect, cabin crew amazingly positive and cheerful, food better than in many other companies. I will give 9/10. And it is not deserving 9, really, comparing with the power of Qatar Airlines or some other fancy ones. But it is soooo far from 1/10, which some here gave, which I don't think fair - as we should give realistic thoughts, not personal preferences.

We were traveling with Air Serbia to Copenhagen & then taking a train to Gothenburg. As we are applying for Schengen visa & our last destination is Sweden we had to book those tickets in advance to present the papers to the embassy. We received 'FLIGHT CANCELLATION' email & we called the airline to understand the cause 'because of the poor situation in Lebanon' knowing that all airlines that are bigger than Air Serbia are still operating normally. They asked us to contact the head office, then later to contact the website where we got our tickets. This process took more than 2weeks,noting that we got our tickets in advance for a good price & now we will have to reschedule the last minute for an expensive price. They refused to refund our train tickets quoting the reason "This decision was reached taking into account the specific circumstances of your case-flight X was cancelled more than 14 days before flight”.We had our legit reasons to purchase our train tickets in advance!I will have to purchase new ones due to them not being able to commit to their flying schedule.I DON’T RECOMMEND FLYING WITH THEM!Pay a bit more for your ticket & get the peace of mind.

Flying on a return leg, from Belgrade to London on August 2nd 2014. At check-in with Air Serbia I was oddly asked, "is this your terminating flight?" ie, am I catching another plane after London. No, I wasn't. I didn't realise until 30mins before the flight why they asked that (because they never ask that). The plane had been delayed by 1.5hrs and we were all left sitting at the gate. Okay, not a massive problem although there is nothing to do at the gates in Belgrade as you have to pass individual gate security to get in (there is no longer security before passport control of Nikola tesla airport) Then we boarded, an hour late. The plane was not the normal type. It was super tight for leg room - I'm only 5ft 8 and my legs were touching the seat in front. There was no real business class to speak of, just more tight seating in the first 3 rows. The plane used was VERY tight. We waited another 15mins and the steward came around with water. No information given as to what the further delay was. He was speaking in Serbian but a good portion of the plane was English so we didn't know what was going on. Finally I called him and he told me there would be another 45min minimum delay. No reason given. Then the pilot came out of his cabin and loosened his tie. This is not a sight you want to see. I got up and walked to the back of the plane because now we were super heating on the tarmac as the air conditioning wasn't on. We were almost 2hrs late. Both front and back doors were open to allow some air which was good. Stewards guarded the back doors so no-one fell out! Mothers and babies were here because of the heat. The stewardess then said because we'd missed our departure time that Nikola Tesla Airport was holding us. She also added that we were boarded onto the plane because the Captain thought it'd be nicer for us to sit down. Fathomless logic. Finally we took off over 2 hours late. We were not served a hot meal but a packed lunch: small roll, small biscuit, bottle of water. I'm very disappointed in Air Serbia as they had been improving after being taken over by ETIHAD. This flight was very much what you used to get before that, when they were JAT; small planes, terrible food, very bad comms

They lost my luggage and didn't take responsibility. After 3 months of delaying on their part, and 4-5 inquiries by me after formal complaint, they suddenly claimed this was Tarom Airlines responsibility,as they flew the last leg under Air Serbia. I had made a formal complaint via Tarom, who forwarded it to the responsible party-Air Serbia. Some person at Air Serbia is now lying and saying, after 3 months of correspondence and dealy, that they do not care to do anything and that I should start from square one and contact Tarom- again.

I flew air serbia few times. Everything was ok, except all the flights were late about 1 hour. Meal was great, the cabin interior is just fine, nothing special, but for one regional carrier with 1-2 hours of flights, quite good. Belgrade airport is small but I dont need some luxury anyway. The most important is that the stuff is very kind. Also, at the airport I am not planing to live, but to drink a coffee before the flight. All in all, I was satisfied.

Overall, Air Serbia is a good airline. The price is definitely worth it, but annoyingly, the only complimentary food and drink were water & a cookie. You could buy extra food which cost a decent amount of money. The staff service and the seat were also ok.

Paid for a ticket and now I´m left without a ticket and money - I´m very disappointed I bought an online ticket directly from Air Serbia´s website and the payment was successfully made, reservation code was issued without a problem, but they had some internal system problem issuing the electronic ticket. I´ve called support center and they´ve told me that they didn’t receive the payment and for that reason they can’t help me, even I had a printed reservation that indicated that the payment was made successfully. I called my bank and they confirmed that the funds are with the recipient and the refund must be initiated by them (in this case Air Serbia). Air Serbia wasn’t answering my mails and communicating by phone they confirmed that shortly I should receive the refund, refusing to confirm the same by mail and continuing forwarding me to resolve the problem with my bank. In other words, they´re not interested to solve the problem and trying to avoid extra labor. Finally, I´ve paid for something that I don´t possess, without a ticket for my flight and without my money back… I´m very disappointed with unprofessionalism that employees and Air Serbia in generally possesses.

Flight Zagreb-Belgrade. ATR-72. I highly recommend to avoid these aircrafts. For me it was a really bas experience. Old aircraft, unexperienced staff, announcements from the crew were nearly impossible through technical problems, but the seat distance is really inacceptable. For luck it took only 1 hour. Noise was really loud.

New star on the European sky. Flew two routes last month AMS - BEG and TXL - BEG. Both are slightly less than 2 hours. Company is a part of the Etihad Group and Etihad's way of doing business is clearly recognizible from the moment you enter the plane to the moment you exit at the destination. Aircafts are Airbus A319 with a new interior although aicrafts itself is not a brand new. Seats are standat 32 inch peach in the economy class. Major European carriers are offering the same seat pitch or less. On the 2 hours flights, AS is offering a selection of 2 hot meals and a choice of alcoholic and non alchoholic berverages. Alcoholic beverages are served with no extra charge. Cutlery is metal, not plastic nor wooden. This level of meal service is not offered by any of the European carriers, not to mention North American. Cabin crew is well trained and polite. Flights departed and arrived on time. Belgrade (BEG) is now becoming a regional hub for the flights to Middle East too. I am looking for forward to using Air Serbia again.

I 've never flown with Air Serbia before so I had no idea what to expect. I was amazed with everything, from the friendly staff, to meals, on board wi-fly etc. The best airlines I have ever flown with.

I flew from Belgrade to Amsterdam in October of 2015. There was nothing incredibly bad or good about the flight. It was a short flight in the early morning and they provided a decent breakfast. There weren't any entertainment systems on the flight, but I didn't really expect any for such a short flight. I boarded, sat down, ate and arrived at my destination. Good enough. EDITORS COMMENT: Sounds like about what you would expect for a flight of that length. Thanks for sharing.

I was quite nervous about flying with Air Serbia, as I read lots of bad reviews and I was afraid of losing my connections or having my bags lost. But I had two connecting flights, one going to Vienna and one coming back from Vienna. The plane was 10 minutes late and some people were afraid of losing their connection, but the plane waited for them. The service was great, the flight attendants spoke perfect english, the flight itself was very smooth and pleasant. The only problem was the smaller aircraft I went on my smaller flight, the Alenia ATR 72, which is really very small and very loud, but you get used to it. All in all, everything went very well.

I have flown from Beg-MXP (Milan) in Aug 2014. No problems whatsoever. I was very impressed with new Air Serbia plain and service. It is like day and night comparing with JAT. I did fly with many airlines and for short flight in any airlines (excluding for example Singapore airlines) you really don't get anything but here you got really decent breakfast for example.

Air SerbiaBy Maja Vukotic

The worst airline I have ever used! They have a monopoly on certain routes, so the prices are extremely high even if you buy tickets largely in advance. For example, for a short flight on a route such as Milan-Belgrade, the price is never under 200€, for a basic tariff, where the service is equivalent to the one of low cost companies (i.e. only hand baggage, no food/drinks, free check-in only if done online etc). So, the passenger pays very high price for a ticket without basic services. I would also mention that other airlines decided to exit the market for unfair competition, so a passenger has no alternatives if he wants to fly direct. I also had bad experience when they just canceled my return ticket, probably for overbooking. When I asked for explanations, the stuff was extremely impolite and I never got my money back. One day before the flight for which I bought ticket two months in advance, I had to buy another ticket with another airline.

I've travelled with Air Serbia (or previously JAT) in the past and always been satisfied. This time was no exception, the comfort of the planes seems to have improved and the staff were excellent. On the way back our flight was 4 hours late, which was obviously not pleasant, but these things can happen. Unlike the truly terrible staff at Tivat airport, Air Serbia were extremely polite, apologetic and professional, giving us all the care and information we needed. We missed our connecting flight, so they booked us on another the next morning, gave us a letter of apology and a night's accommodation in an extremely swish hotel in Belgrade. We could not have asked for more.

5
Air SerbiaBy ar

When Air Serbia began, the flights were reasonable. However as prices started going up, the quality of flight was decreasing. Not only are the seats very uncomfortable but the meals are small sandwiches (instead of hot meals like before). After 'lunch' no one was offered tea or coffee. This flight is extremely behind compared to other cheap airlines. The fact that they are able to charge such a large sum of money for a return flight from London to Belgrade is unacceptable considering the quality of flight. What's more, they started charging for booking seats (on top of the +£500)!

Had a flight from Belgrade to Ljublijana in October 2015. The seats were so small, probably 18" wide that my should extended past both sides. The pitch (space between seats) was probably 28", the smallest I have experienced in an commercial airlines. My knees were into the back of the seat in front. EDITORS COMMENT: The seat pitch is 31- 32 inch and i imagine the seat width was probably less than 18 inch more like 16.5-17 as 18 is actually really generous and you wouldn't really get that much width on a single aisle aircraft.

Belgrade-Copenhagen-Belgrade, Airbus A319 (YU-APJ // YU-APF) Both flights were packed which made the legroom seem even more pathetic. I am 1.85 and the 2 hour flight was quite unpleasant as I could no longer feel my knees. The crew was rather pleasant and helpful but I have to say that the presentation of the breakfast was rather pathetic and the food tasted like rubber. There was a good selection of drinks and it helped that they distributed the menus shortly after take off. On the way back, we had an A319 which was new and it felt modern and comfortable on the inside, with the exception of the disastrous legroom. The dinner they served was very tasty and the selection of drinks was fantastic. The overall experience of the evening flight was incomparably better than the morning one. One thing that was annoying was that the purser kept on speaking so loudly over the p/a that a lot of passengers made fun of it. Air Serbia has improved a lot since the days of Jat Airways. However, even though the management has worked hard to present it as a five star airline, it is far from that. In my personal opinion, service-wise it is the same as Lufthansa or Lot but not as good as Aegean, for example.

I have travelled with Air Serbia twice during the last few months - once from Athens to Belgrade and once from Belgrade to Istanbul. During both flights i found this airline to be very reliable, hospitable, courteous, interested in your well being during the flight and accommodating. Both boarding the plane and disembarking went smoothly and efficiently. The baggage was carried and looked after perfectly well. The in-flight refreshments were satisfactory bearing in made that these were only short flights. The aircraft, A319, was comfortable enough for its size acknowledging that the airline is not the planes manufacturer. These flights, the subject of this review, were not my first encounter with Air Serbia and I can say that I've only had nothing but excellent experience flying with this company. I hope that they will remain in my good books in the future too.

I fly London-Belgrade around 3 times a month other destinations too. Since Jat became Air Serbia i started flying with them. Big improvement but not 5 stars. Little leg space in economy, business is decent. Mainly, staff is quite unpleasant, sometimes rude. Saying things such as: "I absolutely can't help you now, don't you see i don't know where my head is?!" and then, sharp turn away ( that was on a flight to Sri Lanka via Abu Dhabi on 02.12.2014 ). General bad manners with clients applied. One staff member was wonderful, extremely professional, helpful, sweet and definitely exceeded my expectations - Adriana Djokovic. Belgrade - London

Will never fly with Air Serbia again. The service is extremely bad. The airport staff is the worst and most apathic I have ever seen. Food is horrible. Miles (for 2 separate flights) were never registered. No information given about anything during the entire trip. seats changed, aircraft changed (again - 2 different flights), no staff even knows what's going on. No priority boarding. No entertainment system although they promise an ipad. This was like flying economy on a low cost carrier. complaint about their service sent to the airline 5 months ago is still unanswered, except for a stalling email saying "we are still looking into it". not even a simple apology for a premium passenger. 5 months. you do the math.

This was my first time with Air Serbia and I was very impressed. I expected a sandwich and peanuts, but I got a lovely two course meal and three drinks! I was so pleasantly surprised. Highly recommend.

A319-132, Belgrade to Rome. Booking was terrible. They don't accept cards they say they do on their website. When I called costumer service, they asked me my credit card details to book it for me?!? After all, by their mistake I ended up paying ticket 15% more and at the airport I got a 'sorry' gift-bag with a t-shirt and a hat with their logo. The flight itself was late 20 minutes even before take-off. Service was slightly better than in low-cost companies. Never again with AirSerbia.

I flew Air Serbia to Podgorica in Montenegro via Belgrade. Ended up arriving a day late. Basically the Jat problems with missing connecting flights has not been solved by the name change. Air Serbia staff did the absolute legal minimum and were not helpful or apologetic at all. It is very common when travelling via Belgrade to end up being delayed a day because of JAT/Air Serbia's cavalier attitude to timekeeping. Not reccomended.

Experienced very friendly and courteous service on board Air Serbia A319 BEG - SVO. Welcome drink was served and they distributed the best looking menu that I have ever seen in the airline industry. Right after take off they took orders and brought in aperitifs with warm delicious nuts. Food tasty and plenty of refills without having to ask for service. Departure / arrival on time despite poor weather conditions in Moscow. Several cockpit announcements made keeping us informed about flight conditions. Great service onboard with a lot of attention to details and making you feel welcome. Upon arrival after passing passport control luggage was already delivered. Overall 10 out of 10!
