    Business Class in-flight service was abysmal. No boarding refreshments offered. Dinner took almost three hours to be served (on a night flight). Husband had to go to the Galley twice for his dinner requirement, he’d been forgotten (twice). ‘Express’ service requested didn’t materialise.

    Complained on return and offered loyalty points. Advised that ‘you don’t pay extra for service’ even though they advertise this class as ‘Premium Levels of Service.’ Offered more loyalty points but they refused point blank to upgrade next (short haul) flights. Appalling behaviour from a National Airline for which a premium price for seats has been paid.

    Booked and paid for 2 flights a full 36 weeks before flight date to Delhi. BA issued E tickets.
    BA rang six weeks before we travelled to say flight cancelled. They offered to rebook the flight 4 days before or 3 days after or ticket date, but as a teacher you cant just say I wont be in tomorrow and so we had no alternative to get a refund.
    Called them twice to sort a solution, Pointless. They had matching alternative flights, but that would have cost them money to upgrade. Instead easier to see me pay out for their disorganisation!
    Cant see why they took the original booking if they dont have enough planes. They are a big airline and know about planning.
    Result we paid another £660 for replacement tickets with another airline. Rightly resentful that I have done the right thing and and it has cost me a fortune. It would have been cheaper (in the beginning) for me to fly with Emirates because once again I find BA to have service levels equal to Ryan Air. They have just sat around knowing the impact this poor service has on travellers and they dont care.

    We took a flight from Milano via London to Bangkok. The staff in Milano, ok. The lounge serves a nice breakfast in the morning. The flight to London uneventful. The lounges in London are good but too full. It is a problem to find a seat sometimes. We were on an 20 year old B777s from London to Bangkok round trip. The crew was superb on both legs. The legroom is ok and the service is good. The entertainment program is old fashion. The screens are old and the choice is very limited. But when compared to economy on other european carriers it was over average.

    I travel frequently and had one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with British Airways. I was in Barcelona for just four days so had one small bag which they asked me to check. Due to BA’s negligence, my flight from Barcelona to London was delayed causing most passengers to miss their connections. When I finally got a flight, we taxied for an hour and then were told we needed to return to the gate as the luggage was loaded incorrectly. It took me nearly 24 hours to travel from Barcelona to JFK. I didn’t eat or drink anything for ten hours. When I arrived, my luggage wasn’t there so I filed a claim. I called and emailed every day and they couldn’t find it even though I had a tag number and and documentation. Eight days later, they finally contacted me and gave me a six hour window for bag delivery. When I got my bag, I was missing an item which is valued at $250.00. The final insult is that I was expected to file a claim for my missing personal property within seven days. As a result, they have offered me no compensation for damages. Avoid this airline if you can.

    Excellent all round. Return trip from Heathrow to California with the family for Christmas and New Year. We had very specific requirements for our tickets and I used the phone service to make the booking. The level of service was outstanding. Just before our trip we needed to make a change to the date and departure airport for our return leg. Same level of service. And at Heathrow T5 to book our seats. I cannot imagine how anyone could have been more helpful in any of these situations. The flights themselves were great. Economy seats upstairs on the A380 was a little cramped but the level of service was excellent and the crew very friendly. A very positive experience. Premium Economy on the return flight B787-9 was excellent, very comfortable, stewards offering water seemed to magically appear whenever we needed it. Food was possibly the one area that was disappointing on both legs. But apart from that, which is a minor niggle, I would choose to fly with BA again, in fact I would look forward to it.
