With big changes planned at Perth Airport over the next decade, the first of these takes off this Monday with all Jetstar domestic services moving to Terminal 2 (T2).

Jetstar has historically operated its domestic operations from Terminal 3 (next to Qantas Domestic Terminal 4) but from Monday 2 September, all domestic services will now operate from T2, the regional and FIFO terminal, on the opposite side of the estate.

Perth Airport CEO Jason Waters said passengers should check which terminal they are flying from and get to the airport early.

“If you are heading to the airport for a departing flight or to pick someone up – please plan your journey, allow extra time and double-check your itinerary to make sure you are heading to the right terminal.

“We’ve developed significant signage and messaging so that passengers are aware of the Jetstar changeover, as it takes place at midnight on Sunday night into Monday morning.

“We have staff in T3 ready to redirect passengers to T2 and have a free terminal transfer bus to take them over to T2, but we really encourage passengers to check their itinerary well before they arrive at the airport. Passengers can also check the website for information.

“As it’s only a month until the next school holidays, we’ll be maintaining our messaging via our social media channels as well as radio advertising to hopefully reach as many people as possible.”

Upgrades are underway within T2 to provide more seating and a new boarding gate as well as upgrades to the road network and parking.

Perth Airport’s team has worked extensively with Jetstar to ensure operations will run smoothly when the changeover takes place.

The move means that all Jetstar services will operate from the Airport Central precinct, with Jetstar international services remaining at T1 International.
