Webjet, a leading online travel agency in Australia, has announced the relaunch of its partnership with AirAsia. This collaboration makes it easier than ever to search, compare, and book affordable flights to Asia and beyond, leveraging AirAsia’s extensive network.

The partnership signifies Webjet and AirAsia’s commitment to offering customers a wider range of choices and competitive prices. This relaunch adds hundreds of new flight options to popular destinations such as Bali, Kuala Lumpur, and Bangkok via AirAsia, AirAsia X, Thai AirAsia X, and AirAsia Indonesia.

To celebrate the renewed partnership, Webjet and AirAsia are launching a major Asia sale from 20 May to 2 June 2024.

David Galt, CEO of Webjet OTA, stated: “As consumers prioritize finding great value, Webjet remains dedicated to providing Aussies with the best range of flight deals. Our partnership with AirAsia enhances this commitment, offering access to competitive fares for destinations with increasing flight demand. Notably, there has been a rise in interest for Bali, especially from Perth, as well as a growing number of searches and bookings for Thailand.”

Paul Carroll, Chief Commercial Officer at AirAsia Group, commented: “With four AirAsia Group airlines now flying to and from Australia, we provide more value and choice than ever before for our guests ‘Down Under’. Our network connects to over 130 destinations across Asia and beyond, including popular spots like India, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam. The timing is ideal to relaunch our partnership with Webjet as we consider further service expansions.”

Benyamin Ismail, CEO of AirAsia X, added: “We’ve had a strong partnership in the past and are excited to be back on sale with Australia’s leading online travel agency. We understand that price, value, and connectivity are essential for our Australian guests, who appreciate our affordable fares on medium-haul routes to Asia and beyond. Our Premium Flatbeds, offering business-class comfort at a fraction of the price, now include lounge access in Sydney and Melbourne. AirAsia X has significant growth plans aligned with strong demand, and Webjet’s support is crucial for serving one of our key markets.”
