Qatar Airways has won AirlineRatings.com’s Preferred Business class at its Flyers’ Choice Awards for 2026. The Qsuite, which entered into service in June 2017, continues to be the world’s best way to travel. From a luxurious cabin, adaptive seating configurations, Diptyque amenity kits and world-class catering, Qatar Airways continues to innovate almost a decade after its first flight.

Passengers can find the Qsuite on all of Qatar Airways’ A350-1000s and Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, with selected Boeing 777-300ERs, Boeing 777-200LRs and A350-900s also having the seat.

A trendsetting seat with unparalleled luxury

Since its inception, the Qsuite has set the sliding privacy door across many global airlines. In addition, every seat offers direct aisle access in a staggered 1-2-1 layout. Each window and middle seas faces rearwards, while aisle seats face forward. The seat, measuring 21.5 inches wide, transforms into a 79-inch lie-flat bed and has a 21.5 HD touch screen display with charging facilities that include USB-A and a universal outlet.

The Quad

The Quad is a signature feature that made the Qsuite distinctly famous. It uses the two rear-facing centre seats (E and F) with the two forward-facing centre seats (D and G) directly behind them to create a private four-person room. The privacy walls and screens are mounted on tracks, enabling the crew to safety and easily move them to create the unique social experience.

The Twin

Passengers travelling as a couple can select the rear-facing seats (E and F) which transform into a large double bed. The two seats are flush against each other, directly next to the centre with armrests on the aisle side. Cabin crew even offer a special, dedicated double mattress topper and extra-wide bedding.

Continued innovation with Qsuite Next gen

The Qsuite is getting a much anticipated facelift, expected to launch later in 2026 on A350-1000 aircraft. The original manual sliding doors are set to be replaced with a quiet motorised sliding door, controllable through the touchscreen. The screen itself will be upgraded to manoeuvrable 4K OLED by Panasonic, coupled with complimentary Starlink Wi-Fi the airline is currently rolling out across its fleet.

Very few business class seats still win awards almost a decade after release. But Qatar Airways' passengers have recognised the airline’s continued initiate to redefine luxury by voting it the Proffered Business Class seat. Emirates came in second, and Singapore Airlines third, and the Qsuite Next Gen shows that Qatar Airways is not letting that gap close any time soon.
