I did not fly with Wizz air recently, but I booked 2 tickets. This review is about their customer service. After booking a couple tickets, I saw a message “flight overpaid, in order to get refunded, contact customer service”. Okay. Several hours later - not quite okay. First attempt - 30 in line. Tried to stick to it - got disconnected 3 times. Then, a lot of time later (but that as my own fault, not following close), by this time it was very early morning in Europe, I was no 11 in the queue. Followed closely. Got connected to an agent. Once you’re connected to an agent and they are looking into it, you won’t get disconnected, right? Wrong! (see attached pictures). Ok start over. No 7 in the queue. Got connected to an agent. Please don’t disconnect me again! First reply from agent: “Amende d”. My reply: ? (Meaning, Ok, what do you mean by amended, I’m supposed to get a refund?). Agent reply: ? Again, me thinking what does that mean, I reply “what do you mean by "amended". Agent reply: definition of “amended” 😂. Like a slap in the face! Me, again: so I assume you mean I got a refund. Heck, no. 😂😂😂. Please see attached screen prints. I wish I took more. This awfull airline company cancelled my flight less than 24 hours before the departure of the flight without offering an alternative flight. Its unprofessional conduct destroyed my vacation and made me lose the hotel fee (no hotel offers free cancellation hours before arrival at the location) and money I paid in advance for attractions tickets (museums, parks and so on). Stay away from this airline! It was not like this years before. Possible bad new employees and bad new management!

Always late, and late a lot. It can also happen that they do not notify you about canceled or delayed flight. Be prepared to explore whole airport before you board the plane, because that’s how much time you will have to spend waiting for your flight.

I was charged 73€ for absolutely no reason, I had luggage that didn't exceed 10kg as in my ticket. I'm very disgusted at how I was treated by the person in the gate. He started shouting and not even considering that I was speaking to him politely and explaining that my luggage didn't exceed 10kg, it's really a disaster.

I got scammed by Wizz Air I booked a bus transfer with my flight but never got a confirmation from the bus company. So, I had to buy a 2nd ticket after landing at the airport because the bus company didn't receive the information from Wizz Air that I bought a ticket. Back home I decided to open a claim and ask for the money I paid for the transfer but Wizz Air declined 0n the grounds that they never received money from me. "With regard to your claim, we would like to inform you that a card payment was attempted against our systems for the booking PNR: XXXXXX , which was declined by the cardholder's bank. As no payment has been received for the reservation in question, the waiting period has expired and it has been automatically cancelled." I then sent them an email with the Wizz Air Payment ID, a copy of their own payment confirmation email, a screenshot of the invoice and my bank statement. All of the documents clearly show that the amount was correctly debited from my bank account. 2nd answer "In relation to your claim, we would like to inform you that as we have already provided you with our position in this case, this is our final consideration of this claim. " I am still shocked!

horrible experience, after they charge me for a small bag that was not ever charged by another airline, not even by Ryanair, in the plane the flight attendant was shouting at passengers and the airplane was very dirty, chips on the floor and other trash

"I had a terrible experience on wizz air flight from Rome to Abu Dhabi on the 30th. The airline was late in departure and failed to provide the gate number until just half an hour before closing which made passengers confused and asking everyone for assistance. The flight attendants were rude, even shouting at passengers who brought their own food and drinks because the airline did not offer any and the prices were exorbitant especially one named Khadijah she asked me to give her all the food and drinks otherwise she will take my passport!! Of course I refused to give her any. all the passengers were shocked by the high pitched voice. Anyway it was a lesson and will definitely not be flying with this airline again, and my advice to others is to steer clear of this company.

Wizzair is the worst airline ever. They alowed to broke the international law as they are "privetly owned airline company". That how they explaned the issue that they refuse to my family to fly to Turkey because passport of my son is expaired less than in 120 days. However based on onternational law that rule (about 120 days) works only if going out to Turkey from the airport. But if you a transit passanger, an not leaving transit section of the airport you dont need any local visa as well as 120 days rule... BUT Immigration officer said that they are privet airlines and they can break the law.

This is the worst airline I have ever flown with. They are bunch of crooks! They charged me for luggage at the gate, even though as it turns out my son's bag was within the correct measurements. But what's worse is that when I tried to check in on line in Athens, the website was down. I went to the FAQs / Help Centre but nothing there to help me. No even a phone number. I was charged £50 per person at Athens for THEIR error and when I went to claim from them when I returned, they refused, advising that there was no evidence that I had tried to check in online. I had photographs of the app showing an error message. But nothing. Overall the flight cost me £400 on top of the original fee. The staff are rude and ignorant. NEVER EVER FLY WITH THEM. The cheap tickets are a CON.

The worst company ever, after 7 hours, we were told by the captain the original plane had broken down in Cyprus, when we got home and tried to claim compensation we were told the issue was with air traffic control, they sent me an email stating [IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please note that, given the UK's exit from the European Union, as of 1 January 2021, people living in the UK (ie have a UK registered mail address) will not be able to use the European Commission online. Dispute resolution platform as an alternative dispute resolution body]. On the flight home the automatic check in we paid for did not work, we paid for seat selection with extra leg room, they changed our seats to row 39 without extra leg room, when we boarded i had to ask the cabin crew for wet wipes to clean our seats as the had coke and food on the, so did the gentleman in front of us, the cabin crew stood there while we cleaned our seats, this was the first and last time I will ever use this airline, and I would advise everyone to avoid this terrible company

DO NOT USE THIS AIRLINE - SCAM!!! My friend and I were in the departure lounge waiting to board (after hours of delay), when we were informed the flight was cancelled due to lack of staff. Long story short, I have been fighting with them since October 2022 for compensation. We finally received compensation for the first passenger a couple of months ago. After numerous unanswered emails, they responded today, informing me the case is closed with absolutely no explanation!!

Hello this is about my worst experience till date. I was about to fly Wizz Air from Rome Fiumicino to India via Riyadh Flight no- (W68393) and I was denied boarding on grounds of nothing. Aereoporto Leonardo Da Vinci Fiumicino staff at #Wizzair counter were extremely rude and all they said is I need E-visa to enter Saudi. While I said ok and asked to just tell me how to go on about it they did not tell anything and asked to go away. I met the info desk and that was same, they just told me to go to the Wizz Air counter. The travel agency downstairs was closed and no one could help.. The Italian police even they were useless. And most of them couldn't speak proper English. Horrible experience. They did not give me a form for denied boarding as well. I have filed a legal complaint against Wizz Air and Fiumicino airport staff but of no use till now. The flight was back on 18th-December, 2022. The Agency has been just trying to dodge its way and Wizz air too. They don't even respond to emails.

I had flights with many companies but Wizz Air is the most terrible one, in my opinion is illegal how they operate the issues. I bought a flight from Cluj, Romania, to Liverpool with return. The flight was cancelled and they paid in Wizz Air account just one way and without possible to take money back into my account. For the other way they don’t paid. I did a claim and from 25.06.2022 until 14.03.2023 they don’t fixed the issue. In one email they said will pay me back 480€ and to send them the bank details, what i did but no any money and no any answer. After few months of complaining they sent me an email and said the compensation of 400€ was intiated on 16.01.2023 and in maximum 20 days i must see the money in my account. Nothing, not even a penny they paid, i called the bank and i seen they lied. Now nobody answer to emails. Actually what they do is to pull the time and lie the costumers. Avoid this company is very dangerous.

I often use wizzair due to the prises. If everything works fine, they are OK for the money. However, if anything needs to be tuned, also on their responsibility, like system crash or unavailability of the website, you find yourself lost in a nightmare. There is no chance to call a customer support to get a solution, the ground crew is badly trained and not allowed to take any decisions - they most probably will also try to call the same malfunctioning support. At the end you will pay for it to get any further. Not a good feeling even if at the end it still will be cheaper than a serious airline.

Never again... Booked upfront a flight with 4 nights in Venice, Wednesday (evening) to Sunday (morning). Reasonably cheap, alright. A couple of weeks before the outbound flight was postponed by 20 hours (!), meaning the trip became one day shorter. (BTW, they do not even bother to update you, it was the travel company which sent a note). But even this is not their ugliest record: on Friday get a message that the return flight is moved at 7am on *Saturday* instead of Sunday - 23 hours earlier (!) than planned! (And again - no message from WIZZ, just from the travel agent). Say what? Making the itinerary two days shorter?! Moving flight a day earlier a few hours before the new flight time?! With no rebook/refund/cancelation options?! I could not even imagine this is legal. (As a result I had to book another return flight) All this comes on top of constant flight delays and cancelations. WIZZ, you lost me (and hope you lose the business in favor of more honest companies)...

Wizz air is not a reliable airlines. On 27th Aug 22, I drove from Dubai to Abudhabi to catch flight 5W7003, thinking that I have booked with a cost effective reliable scheduled airline, after reaching the airport waiting in the check in line for an hour I find from other passengers that the flight is cancelled, no representative from Wizz air to understand from what’s next. No one at the airport representing the airline and they advise to call the airlines, I called, and nevertheless that the lady I spoke to was on her nerves (as if she was a passenger) she advised she will process my cancellation of the whole flight (cant rely on a return with them) and send me a confirmation email. Refund would take 10 days, no confirmation was sent, and I am praying to god I would see a refund in 10 days, the flight cost was 3177 aed

We had an awful flight from start to finish!!! The stewardesses were absolutely nasty throughout the entire flight!! They locked the restroom for most of the flight claiming turbulence which none of us felt! They also did not allow the restrooms to be used every time they wanted to sell food or drinks so that the aisle would be clear for them! There was a terrible atmosphere on the plane the entire flight, and we couldn't wait to get off!! Terrible Experience!!!

Excellent experience with WIZZ. The low-budget airline fullfilled all my expectations, which take the low price into account. I can recommend WIZZ (only 1 flight experience so far) for anyone who is okay with a delay of 1,5h and paying for water on the plane.

The airline offers cheap fares to lure in passengers but then makes every attempt to extract money from you. They even charge money to check-in at the airport. We had to pay a fee of 40 euros to check each of us in. Never heard of this. The staff is very rude. They even have a sign at check-in saying that unruly passengers may be denied service; have never seen this sign anywhere in the world and we travel quite a bit. Suspect it happens a lot. The boarding of the plane was horrible and felt like cattle being herded. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Flew with Wizz 3 times, bought new tickets a couple hours ago. The service hasn't changed in the last few years, it's daylight robbery. Even though shown prices are usually really good, sometimes okayish, they tend to hike the price to twice the amount it was before. Which then makes it comparable to a national airlines, which include baggage and meal in the price, obviously a bigger legroom.

Good airline in overall. I flew 12 times with Wizz Air in 2020 and only twice in 2021 so far. Almost always I was satisfied with price (last time I paid less than 10 Euro), legroom is bad but even with my 190+ cm it does not feel too bad. Better than on some regular carriers. Seats are assigned in random order unless you pay. It is sad, however, that a lot of people had problems with Wizz Air. For example refund and so on. I got refund 5 times, once on bank account from Wizz Air due to A LOT OF cancelations in 2020 (I fly often). My advice is to accept on Wizz Account and than request to transfer them to the bank account. Service is OK for price you pay.

Do not book with Wizz. They are simple don't care about their customers. You will not get a refund back, customer service isn't helpful, and many of their employees are incredibly rude. Save yourself the trouble. It's simply not worth it.

Due to the covid-19 lockdown I had to cancel my flight. I asked for a refund. They sent me an email to choose a refund in my account or in my bank account. I answer that my refund should be in my bank account, because money came from bank account not wizz. I received the same email couple of times and I gave the same answer. Then...nothing ...silence... After a while I received an email telling me that my money went to my wizz account because I didn't submit my choice of how they should process my refund... I said to my self that in the end is not to bad because sooner or later I will need to use wizz flights... Last week I checked my account and big surprise...no money into my account... I sent an email, receiving an automated registration email, but silence so far no one interested to check with me...

No respect for customers at all. It's a joke how everything is about money. Regular delays pre-covid, trying to push everything down your throat to spend, no legroom (for the sake of putting more rows of seats in) ridiculously bad customer service. A good option if you don't expect much and really just need to get somewhere cheap, but if you actually want to enjoy the journey, choose another airline.

Because at boarding moment I putted my purse (usual dimension,not troller!) under the seat and not in the troller compartment up, even if I was alone on entire raw (first raw) and beside me, on raw 2,was also one single passenger the steward Bogdan shouted at me and when I have protested came the pilot, Fratila or similar name, to tell me that he takes me off from airplane because i don’t respect the rules! When i asked “Exactly what rules i don’t respect?”he shouted at me to don’t protest and ! told me to don’t interrupt him when He speaks! I am a 57 old lady, manager, with monthly flights on all continents but so unimaginable attitude I didn’t find out never ever. Plus: during the flight they allowed one person from the other seat from behind to occupy a seat on the first row for free, even if I paid more for that position.Not correct. Note: I have revealing photos.

The way the treat customers is terrible and they look for any resons to charge you for extras. I booked a flight with them once and since the seat selection was not free I waited to bool it on the last day but their system crashed and despite my efforts to book a seat with either refreshing the page every minute and calling the customer service I couldn't reserve a sit and when I got to the airport they told me that all seats are booked and there was no refund. Also even if there was a seat I had to pay penalty which was more expensive than my booking.

My daughter flew with Wizzair in July. Her flight from Constanta was canceled, information provided by Wizzair was awful and incoherent. She was told to go to Bucharest and then buy a new ticket. She did this but when she got to Bucharest a free flight was provided. We claimed for the cost of the ticket she purchased as she did this following the Wizzair instruction. They are being deliberately evasive and just keep telling us that we are not entitled to compensation as the cancellation was due to weather conditions. My point is that my daughter only purchased a ticket as Wizzair staff told her to do this. We have been honest and fair. She shared a cab from Constanta to Bucharest but only claimed for the flight as the person my daughter shared with said they were going to claim for the cab. Wizzair, in my opinion do not treat their customers properly and did not support my daughter when she needed clear and helpful advice.

Usually when you think of traveling with a low cost , you are preparing for a series of unpleasant sacrifices. Wizz Air Hungary, none of this. Some days before the flight you are invited to leave your luggage at the desk (if you have chosen not to bring the classic cabin baggage). Comes aboard comfortably with finger. The aircraft in service is a new A 321 neo. My seat offers a comfortable seat with good legspace but as soon as I sit down, the flight attendant who is positioned on the emergency exits, invites me, taken from my height, to sit right in the row of emergency exits where it is known that there is an extra space for the legs. The flight runs off quickly, between the attention of the cabin crew and the information of the cokpit. During the flight I sipped an excellent tea. On board you have the immediate impression that the staff is highly trained and prepared. Landing in Budapest by hand and average baggage claim. Beautiful experience that has little to do with the world of low cost.

I have traveled with Wizz air several times, usually from Basel or to Basel. I have never had flight in time, sometimes it was late more than 5hrs and they didn't even offer the water. Staff if very rude at the Tuzla airport, they charge you for infants car-seat. Airplane is very bad and you have a feeling it will crash. I realise it is low cast line, but it should be prohibited to fly.

Luton ground handling staff for Wizz Air had an argument with three independent passengers and prevented one passenger boarding the plane. Staff tried to rip off first passenger with £40 because wheels of her luggage were protruding 1 cm. Second passenger stepped in to defend the first passenger but staff continued arguing with both of them. A third passenger stepped in but they started to argue with him and threatened to deny him boarding unless so he apologized so he had to obey their order. Team leader arrived and she continued to argue with all three passengers but admitted there should be no charge for the luggage. Leader was refusing to provide her full name and grabbed second passenger’s hand assuming she was being film although the passenger was just writing down team leaders name from her badge. Second passenger then took a video of the leader so leader and the rest of staff started preventing second passengers to board the plane. They harassed her all the way to the entrance of the plane using physical force that left her with bruises. Since harassment happened outside CCTV footage area, the leader and staff escaped conviction.

Standard quality service for medium/low prices, punctuality quite good, though some delays occur. The worst thing, though, is that their prices are all but transparent: 1) At a first glance their prices seem very cheap compared with other airlines’, but this often is due to the fact that they do not include services that others do, and that are often badly needed by customers. E. g. they include only a very small hand luggage for free (about of the size of a laptop bag), and if you are travelling together with someone (even small children), you will get seats that are far away, unless you pay an extra fee (that is very variable, but can also be about 10-15 Euro per person). 2) Their website and their app is designed in a way that often misleads you, resulting in making you to pay for services you do not really need, and sometimes even do not want. Recently I paid 4.100 HUF (ca. 13 Euro) for reserving a seat, whereas I actually did not want to. In conclusion, my advice is to travel with Wizzair only after having carefully checked out that it REALLY is more convenient compared with concurrent airlines.

I have never had any problems with Wizz Air during the six years I have used this airline, about twice a year. I have not had any issues with delays, overbooking or communication, touch wood! Everything has worked perfectly well so far. I have mostly flown between Stockholm and Budapest though. The crew has been friendly and nice and the service as good as you can expect on a low cost carrier. The Airbus A321 aircraft are comfortable and the price is very affordable. The online check-in procedure works perfectly.

Hi, our flight (Lgw-gdn-W61620 - JULY 25th) has been delayed more than 12 hours. On 26 july, we called the customer service to know the reason of the delay (claim number 28880976). It has been confirmed by phone that the delay was due to operation issue. One of their agent (Evelyne) confirmed by phone on 26 July at 9:30 am UK time, that the responsability of wizzair was engaged. Consequently, we claimed as per european directive 2004 (passenger air protection) the compensation for this delay. Moreover, we claimed the reimboursement of additional transport (from and to airport) and food fees caused by the delay. 30 days already passed. After 4 calls, a proper claim through their website No response from Wizz Air. Customer service useless and irrelevant. Next step for us is to get in touch with UK consumer associations, consumer council to prepare to trigger a legal action.

I arrived at Luton airport. My boarding card barcode wouldn’t work. (I had booked a seat and priority boarding). I had to go to enquiries desk to get a new boarding pass and I noticed that the seat that I had booked became cancelled. Arrived at gate waited for new seat. Made to wait until end of boarding and was told flight full you can’t fly. No mention of the seat I already had in fact they pretended they couldn’t hear me when I asked about the seat that magically disappeared. First available flight two days later arriving at midnight! Hardly worth flying since I was due to fly back on 29th.

28 July 2019 flight Frankfurt-Kyiv 11 passengers were denied boarding right at the gate. The bus was waiting, but the plain captain said "it is enough" and 11 passengers were left behind. The whole registration was sluggish, personal at the gate seems like they hate their job. After they close the gate Wizz air did not offer any help which is a violation of regulation (EC) 261/2004 ! I saw people crying begging for help, some of them did not have any money to buy another ticket. Wizz air workers were so rude and morally disengaged. I have never seen such a meat grinder. This company sell double tickets and then makes customers hassle to get their money back. I sow several old ladies from Ukraine they do not know how to use a computer nor speak German or English language. Wizz air feeds on such a group of people, making its illegitimate revenue! Wizz air go away from the business!

Terrible airline. Flew from Paris Beauvais to Riga,Latvia. Check in seemed to be an exercise in extracting money for 'excess' size and weight of baggage. Staff were quite rude also. Flight itself was uneventful. Do not use this airline!

TITLE: WizzAir customer service did not even reply to us when we asked for a refund due to death My name is Nikolaos & I am originally from Greece.

A few months back I booked an airline ticket for WizAir for my grandfather.

Later on, he was hospitalised and it was foreboded to him to fly by the doctors.

I asked WizAir for a refund and they refused. One day before the flight my grandmother (wife of my grandfather) passed away - and I contacted once again to ask WizzAir for a refund (for the same tickets) not only now due to the hospital forbidding to my grandfather to fly - but also because my grandmother passed away 1 day before his flight.

 After more than a month - they still have not replied to me…

Wizzair is NOT a low cost airline: it is an average cost airline with very poor service and nasty selling tactics. It was the first time I used this airline and definitely the last. In the future, I'll go for a slightly more expensive airline who provide a much better experience and do not try to steal my money using ludicrous options or small prints. The price difference is definitely not worth it.

Avoid them as plague! Very unproffesional staff at the airport. I paid extra for priority boarding but ended up among the last peoole to board the plane. They lost my luggage last December and haven't heard back from them since. Their call centre is a joke, they keep selling me the same doughnut every time i call. The person assigned to deal with my claim doesn't even reply to my emails... Just avoid them. It's worth paying a bit extra and fly with a decent company that has some respect for their passengers.

I bought my ticket 2 months prior to the departure on the 26th April 2019 and I included the priority on boarding option. Upon arrival at the airport I was told that the flight was full and I had no seat identified in the plane and I had a stand-by boarding pass-. They refused to give me back the not even10 euros I payed for a service I did not receive , because I used the flight. So, I payed priority boarding and I had to wait for ALL the people to board and take seats so they can see if there were any seats left. I was forced to pay the membership fee so I can have the priority on board, and surprise -your seat is NOT guaranteed on your selected flight. Attention to the luggage , always do your check in - or the fees at the airport can be even 40 euros for one person- and read very carefully the services bought. I would never recommend them. Use another airliner to make sure you won`t miss your vacation.

I’ve flown WizzAir about 3 times this year and it’s the first time I’ve flown with them. I was pleasantly surprise at how efficient staff were in getting passengers off and on ready to taxi for the next flight. There weren’t any delays in my flights and we made up time in the air too so landed early on each occasion. The aircraft are mostly brand new and still hold that new smell. Leg room for me (6’1”) was more than enough for the short duration flight. As my tickets were so cheap, I didn’t mind paying the usual high prices for a hot drink and food however I spent less than £10 for a sandwich, tea and a pack of smarties. I was more than happy with this. Staff appear friendly and it would be nice to hear the pilots on the tannoy a little more often as it always sounds good to hear their voices. It is an airline that offer cheap prices but for the cost of tickets it far exceeds my expectations and I’d pick them over Ryanair when possible as much as possible

Value for money. The new A321 planes are more roomier. The staff was very friendly the even offerd me to sit at the emergency exit so i had mor legspace. I'd fly with Wizzair the next time again

Horrible and terrible company. Would never fly with them. Worst experience flying. Please, choose between a different company, Wizz Air is the worst.

Absolutely value for money. Wizz has a brand new air fleet of airbuses A321 which are really impressive and give you an additional safety feeling. Very experianced captains judging by the flight but by their ages as well, very friendly and helpful crew, if you read well the luggage terms and conditions you will have no problem at all. Well done wizz!

My last flight was my worst experience with WizzAir thats when I decided never to use them again. It was Flight W62206, October 31st, 2013. It was delayed for more than three hours because the aircraft scheduled for this flight was used by WizzAir to cover another delayed flight. Then they made the whole flight passenger in the queue for 1 hour 30 saying its boarding and annoucing every 15 minutes, we shall be boarding the plane in next 10 minutes to save food vouchers that were supposed to be given to passengers. I officially complained, and the only reply I got back "Sorry to hear that flight was delayed". I shall never recommend WizzAir to anyone, its not cheap, we have to pay for everything an on top these cheap airlines exploit passengers by saying cheap tickets without mentioning that the local travel will top up the overall cost of the flight with no real in flight benefits. Useless Airline, no customer service and very unprofessional passenger handling services.
