Due technical problem before flight to Tenerife North at October 22nd we waited for departure in airplane at Madrid airport almost one and half hour without any offer of even a bottle of water and then when we departured they started with selling of water and sandwiches just like we did not sat in plane without any support for so long time because of their technical problems. Very dissapointed because we arrived to Madrid with another company and got water and meal even when everithig was on time.

Booked a intercontinental flight with Supersaver from Amsterdam to Santo Domingo. Always luggage included intercontinental. Not this time. Without any warning they wanted me to pay extra for my suitcase 250 euro. I decided not to go and stay home. This is cheating. My suitcase was 23 kg. Supersaver had to warnt me about the ticket price that is was without luggage. My trust is now gone and when i ever fly again i need guarantees. Never fly Air Europa again. They know what the problems are. More passengers complaint at the airport. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!!

Very good for the price!

The issue with Air Europa is the inconsistency of their fleet. I recognize all the negative reviews, but: they are improving. I definitely can recommend their long-haul business class on the brand new Boeing 787. They do not have any of the discomforts of the older Airbuses that Air Europa is operating: full flat beds; good inflight entertainment and good food. At a price that was less than half of any of the large carriers they took me to Bogota and back. From a price-quality perspective my trip was an excellent experience that I would recommend to anyone.

Terrible, avoid this airline at any cost. They sell you flights with connections but if they delay one of the trips they don´t take any responsability for making you reach the next connection. We used this airline to go from Santa Cruz, Bolivia to London Gatwick via Madrid. We had an emergency landing but we were told that we on Madrid we will receive help to make us reach our next connection. When we arrived in Madrid, the girls of Air Europa knew nothing so ended up running to reach the next gate and arriving there only to receive a "Gate closed" sign, if they were responsible for the delay they could have communicated with the gate to make them wait for us. We had to wait almost 8 hours in the airport with no food voucher or anything. And to make things worse, on the way back the flight from Gatwich was delayed as well, when we reached Madrid nobody helped us from the airline, the security gate was closed (it was a midnight flight) and there was nobody from the airline who could help us, we did reach our trip eventually, but Air Europa doesn´t care at all about connections even if it is their fault, they don´t take any responsability nor do they make any effort to help you reach your flight connections. TERRIBLE!!! worst airline I´ve ever been too!!!

The worst flight ever, don't even know where to start.. it's not a full service airline, you need to pay for drinks even for long haul flights. The aircraft was discusting and no one speaks English. Food is almost none existing.. needed to by duty free to get something else to eat. I will never fly with them again, do yourself a favour and don't fly with them!

MAD-HAV A330 (also read my report on FRA-HAV) Waste carriage rattled unstowed and unlocked through kitchen during first 4 minutes of taxiing. Seat in front of me did not arrest in upright position, remained half reclined during entire flight. Most interior screen in my window vibrated loudly during entire flight. My reading lamp flickered in changing frequencies during entire flight. The toilet door contact switch was defect, toilet indicated as available even when occupied. My armrest audio outlet was worn out, plug had to be pressed in with thumb continuously to listen. During start, a considerable amount of water splashed – probably out of the air condition - onto passenger near emergency exit. Flight attendant just smiled and pointed on her belt. When unbelted she seemed to have forgotten the incident. Exactly once per hour the smoke of a cigarette was distributed by the air condition. Cabin crew failed all five times to take action on preventing someone to smoke in the toilet (or cockpit?). Before, the worst technical state of a cabin I remember was Safi Afghan Airlines. Air Europa beats them. I feel shame they fly under the name of my home continent!

Flight with AirEuropa – NEVER AGAIN! Air Europa airline won the first place in my personal ranking of airlines offering the worse service to its passengers! I flew home with my whole family from Palma de Mallorca – I bought expensive tickets with a minimum transfer, as I was flying with my wife and three young children. The Air Europa airline without warning has canceled our flight, although we have already registered it online the day before departure. Then, the airline changed our flight to other with two transfers (although we bought a flight with 1 transfer) on which it was impossible to catch a connecting flight. In the result: we were late and arrived home 16 hours later than planned. Moreover, these out-going actions of airlines have led to serious injury of my child and long-term moral damage for the whole family. In addition, Air Europa has lost checked luggage, which I was looking by myself for a few days after arrival. Unfortunately, choosing Air Europa, we have become victims of the airline, which not only provided absolutely no service, but also harmed the health of my family!

This was the worst travel ever. There were no TVS, no earphones in a 12 hours fly. My seat didn´t recline (and also not the ones of my seat neighbors). The food was pathetic, but worst of that there were no spoons, or milk, or anything. One man ask for a spoon to mix his coffee, and the stewardess give him a NAPKIN to mix!!!! What????? I asked for milk for my coffee (because I can´t drink pure coffee, I have to drink decaf, and OF COURSE they haven't) and the stewardess say that there was no milk! The bathroom was disgusting! All the floor wet, the tank wasn´t working either. My seat neighbor ask for a glass of water and the stewardess said "I give you two because then it will not be"!!! How is that possible? The pillows didn´t have pillowcase... I understand that at Economy class you can ask for MUCH, but that service is just HORRIBLE, PATHETIC, DEGRADING, and NO ACCEPTABLE. EDITORS COMMENT: If you were backing on, or in an emergency exit then no your seat would not recline.

I flew with this airline from Buenos Aires to London via Madrid in April. In brief: absolutely terrible experience. The airline managed to produce a 30 hours+ delay (flight to Madrid was cancelled), during which its staff at the airport acted completely incompetently. Barely anybody spoke English; there was an 2 hours line to the check-in desk to get an information which bus was taking us to the hotel; after the return to airport 24 hours later check-in counter opened only half an hour after arrival (their staff informed us that the responsible colleague has not arrived yet) and afterwards only one counter was opened for 200+ passengers. Worse though was the fact that after the flight was cancelled, I clearly explained to the only English-speaking lady at the desk that I need to be in London on Monday morning in any case, as I had an important meeting. She assured me that this will be taken care of and that the company will call me to the hotel to give me the details of a replacement flight. I never heard from her again and the company just couldn't care less. Generally, this whole nightmare ended only after we persuaded the only reasonable person in the whole staff to book us on

You only get what you pay for is the best way to sum up this airline. We had a package deal from Madrid to Cancun return with 12 days in a 5 star resort. The price of the package deal was reasonably cheap and I think the bulk of the money went to the 5 star hotel and just a few hundred dollars was allocated to the airline because the quality of the service was only worth just that. You can be guaranteed the flight will be delayed. Ours was to and from Cancun. I could go on and complain endlessly, however, you only get what you pay for and we didn't pay that much, and therefore, didn't get that much. Apples for apples, peaches for peaches! EDITORS COMMENT: That's exactly right!

Uncomfortable for long haul flights, ok for short haul flights, travelled in sept-October the staff aren't as dolled up as other airlines. They were always late on all flights. Announcements go to headphones which sounded like someone yelling in your ear, not good if your tired. EDITORS COMMENT: Thanks for the feedback that's good to know.

Worst lost Baggage service. This company is unable to schedule the delivery of lost baggage or even give a clear answer.

I used to use this company to fly from Paris to Madrid, but recently did intercontinental flights and it is HORRIBLE. No screens on your seats, delayed departures, lost luggage with excruciatingly bad customer service, and being told we have to wait 3 months for them to find our luggage! I can't believe this bad company is part of Sky team.. gives you a false sense of trust when its not due!

Madrid-Cancun-Madri: Worst flight experience ever. No inflight entertainment system. Only few big screens on top of the cabin. But language of the films only in spanish. (Flight took over 10h, this is kind of Stone Age!!!) Flight crew was very unfriendly. No help for filling out the Visa form. This was only available in spanish language as well. Never again. Your holiday should be starting in a better way!

Flew Madrid to JFK. WORST flight/airline ever. We choose this airline NOT because it was cheapest, it had departure time we wanted. Started at check-in. This was only airline that insisted on weighting my laptop bag. Even discounted airlines we used in Europe didn't do that!!! Carry-on luggage -YES, laptop bag - NOBODY!!! Got only worse from there. No in-flight entertainment for trans-Atlantic flight. Plane itself in bad condition. Over-head luggage compartment was horrible shaking all the time and making cracking noise. Asked for water - was told have to wait until after turbulence. Never got any. In short, worse than discount airline service at non-discount price. NEVER WILL USE AGAIN!!!!!!!

MAD-GRU Aircraft: A330-200 I have wonderful flight . The expedition was very punctual and organized. I have no problem . During the flight , the crew was very kind . The meal was very tasty! I take the seat near the windows in economy class, he was comfortable. When we landed in London , the team said he arrived on schedule . when i left the aircraft to pick up the baggage i don't have problems. Is was quick . Now Air Europa is my favourite airliner, better than TAP .

I had an excellent trip with Air Europa. I booked a flight from Miami to Tel Aviv on May 13th, 2017. The airplane was very clean, great chairs, amazing tv with a lot of blockbuster and great tv series. The crew was amazing in term of service/help. I do not know why people post these negative reviews. I had a wonderful experience with the plane and the crew. Another thing to consider is the price of the tickets. Air Europa is very cost effective.

During our trip from Madrid to Miami, Air Europa lost one of our suitcases. I filled a PIR report in Miami immediatetely after landing, and also called Air Europa every day during the vacation, to ask for the suitcase, but it was not found. After vacation was finished, I immediately sent a formal claim by post to them, but they refuse tok take any responsibility. They are not able to tell me where the suitcase is, and they are not willling to pay any compensation for the lost luggage. Very irresponsible. Never again Air Europa.

Air europa is not a full service airline, as you have to pay for drinks and food. almost no movies on the entertainment system. EDITORS COMMENT: That's correct and why we have them listed on our site as a low cost carrier.

Absolutely awful in every respect. Old planes, surly service, hidden tricks everywhere to get more money off you and you even have to pay for the earphones to watch the inflight movie. Think Ryanair rules on long haul flights with prices only fractionally less than what serious airlines charge. Baggage limits are a con.

When I started to read the reviews I was really scare, awful food, rude customer service, bad seats, etc. I have to say we had an amazing trip from Miami - Rome. The new boing 787 are really comfortable and they are faster then the airbus 330. The first flight my husband had problem with the screen, , it is a long flight without, they need to take care of it. Premium economy is really nice, I wish only that the food was a little bit better, but was acceptable. More drinks are welcome, I need to ask many times for something to drink. Conclusion: if they will not increase the price I will fly again with them.

Worse airline ever, i traveled with my wife and my two daugthers awefull trip, 11 hour trip and if would like to listen the tv i would have had to buy earphones,of couse we got late , and they lost my baggage ,which I need it to picked it up myself at the airport because they couldn't delivered to ty house, I wait for 4 days ..just the worse experience

First time and last time that I fly with Air Europa. It is all about revenue and no service. The wifi is unacceptable. I have flown around the word, it is a family hobby. The charges for luggage is outrageous. 120 euros for each piece of luggage! The service inside the cabin is all about revenue. You get charged for every single drink after the main service. The cabin was disgusting to say the least. I flew from Madrid to Miami . An international fly! Be aware about the hidden charges.

I was going to travel with them soon, but due to a setback I was forced to request the cancellation of the flight the day after I booked it and 1 month before the date of the flight itself. Well, to my surprise, the intermediary agency (Booking) and Air Europa itself informed me that the reservation was non-refundable. According to them, since it is non-refundable, they will not refund me a single euro of the paid ticket. This seems to me to be EXTREMELY serious and should be brought to the attention of each and every one of the customers who are going to fly with them, so that they are completely clear about the trip before booking a flight with this company, since in case of cancellation they will lose their money completely.

We unfortunately flew flight UX015 MADRID San Pedro Sula which was a long haul flight 12.5 hours. From the start the boarding experience was draconian and terribly organised with both elderly and disabled people left waiting on stairs to enter bus to board plane on runway. The food served was not eatable.The staff wanted to charge for a glass of wine to accompany an eatable meal. The flight staff seemed lazy and Totally not organised.Toilets not cleaned. Not even checking safety of passengers and advising safety exit of plane in an emergency. The seating was incredibly uncomfortable for a 12.5 hour cross Atlantic flight. The wait for checked -in baggage on arrival was over 1 hour and 2 suitcases arrived damaged. We never wish to fly this terrible airline ever again.

Una decepción total. Compré tres tiquetes con tres meses de antelación y desafortunadamente uno de los pasajeros tuvo una emergencia médica/familiar que le hace imposible viaja (su hijo sufrió un stroke – infarto cerebral). Contacte a la aerolínea buscando alternativas y la respuesta de la asesora al cliente es que solo son causas validas si el pasajero mismo se muere o es hospitalizado tres días antes del vuelo (que tu hijo sufra un stroke no es una razón para no viajar según Air Europa). Le pregunte por diferentes alternativas y NO están dispuestos a cancelarlo, NO están dispuestos a dejar el tiquete abierto/flexible, y NO están dispuestos a transferir el tiquete a otra persona. Literalmente la persona que sufrió el stroke no puede hablar, no puede mover la parte izquierda de su cuerpo, no puede caminar, pero para Air Europa no es impedimento suficiente. Por aerolíneas como esta basura es que el sector tiene mala reputación. Empresas atascadas en los años 90s para quienes sus clientes no son más que un número. He viajado por todo el mundo y jamás había experimentado tanta falta de empatía.

Now I see why Air Europa has such a low rating. We flew by this airline in October from Madrid to Lisbon. There were 2 people in the wheelchairs: my husband and one more passenger. Usually, passengers in wheelchairs are taken on a plane first, along with 1st class/business class passengers. With this company those 2 passengers had to wait until all passengers had boarded and after that were allowed to be wheeled to board. On the top of that we were told to check the carryover because they did not have room on the plane. I refused because in the carryover bag we keep all medications for my husband. They even called the pilot, but, finally, found room for our carryover bag. Ridiculous! I told them that we never flew by any airline that put people in wheelchairs the last to board. Never will use Air Europa again.

Absolutely awful airline! The food was dire (salami sandwiches and lumpy pasta); I was shocked that this would even be acceptable for a 10 hour flight. Drinks were sparse and the air hostesses were dismissive and robotic. The organisation was a shambles (staff couldn't put people into a queue, they kept contradicting themselves, nobody knew answers to questions, half were milling about aimlessly whilst the rest abruptly barked orders at customers) and the flight was persistently delayed; at one point we waited almost 2 hours ON THE PLANE with no explanation as to why we weren't moving. Babies were screaming, children were irritable, folks were getting angry and the staff mysteriously disappeared clearly to avoid dealing with enquiries. There is no in-flight entertainment and if you want to watch any of their family films (on tiny screens dotted around the plane shared between 30 others) you'll need to pay �3 for headphones. Again, isn't entertainment standard across long haul airlines nowadays? It's cheap for a reason and i'll never fly with them again. They need some serious work on customer services and improving their overall image. EDITORS COMMENT: It is a low cost airline therefore food- if provided free tends to be of a lower standard and in flight entertainment on low cost carriers is not standard im afraid.

I flew UX89 from Madrid to Santo Domingo. No boarding in groups, so usual chaos. When I approached my seat (47D), I noticed someone already was sitting there. A crew member came up and told me I was wrong (I wasn't) and demanded I should take the seat behind it (48D in my opinion). I didn't argue. Then of course a passenger who had booked 48D came up. The same steward suddenly explained to me that I am plain wrong and that 47F in fact was 47D. It took 2 other crew members to convince the steward that I was right. Unbelievable! A crew that is not aquatinted with seat numbering!! Then of course the usual odd things: Horrible food, 3 Euros for headphones on an intercontinental flight. Of course my steward did not issue the immigration forms before landing, so customs took additional time. NEVER EVER AIREUROPA!!
