The engine shut down from Doha to Oslo. So we ended up doing an emergency landing in Moscow. Everyone onboard was extremely scared and the captain gave 0 information. This is typical Qatar, no communication, which makes everything so much worse. The flight was a complete nightmare, it would be good if Qatar can consider talking to their passengers in the future.

The flight was 5-6 hours delayed. We were stranded onboard on the runway. No information, no help. We lost all our connecting flights, but Qatar did not care and couldn’t and would not assist in any way. It was a nightmare. Even now, one month later, it’s still impossible to get any contact to just get a confirmation regarding the delay to the insurance company. Qatar is the absolute worst when it comes to customer service and communication!

Exceptional flight from LHR to Doha on Qatar's A380 upper deck. The cabin crew was outstanding throughout. Thorough, precise, competent, efficient and exceptional. Being picky...they could have been a little more personal, but that's being churlish when something was so good. Seat and comfort was up there with the best, food and drink at a very high standard and a very nice ambience in the upper deck bar area. The business cabin seemed huge but the crew did make it seem smaller just by their elevated level of attentiveness. The Qatar lounge at Heathrow's a-la-carte offerings were of a high quality also. In a word, flawless - an experience to remember.

I flew Qatar's Q-Suite from Doha to Melbourne Australia in mid October this year on a Boeing 777-300. Having just had a flight from London to Doha on which the cabin crew were exceptional, the cabin crew on my Doha to Melbourne flight were well below par. Disorganised, dismissive, disinterested, incompetent. No pre-departure drink was offered, they screwed up every aspect of my dine on demand requests in relation to meal times and which meal was delivered when and put simply were not really visible at all during the flight and not fit for purpose. For an airline with such a high opinion of itself, it was unacceptable. I flew from Australia back to London in Economy on Royal Brunei Airlines and the cabin crew and service standard on Royal Brunei far exceeded what I received in Qatar's business class. The Q-Suite was okay, lacked storage and ambient space, the bed was ok in terms of comfort, but the overall experience couldn't match previous flights I have enjoyed in Business Class on Etihad or even economy class on Royal Brunei.

I'm very sad because I was deceived. I was sold a pig in a poke. I bought five round-trip tickets from Lisbon to Phuket with a stopover in Doha. I was asked to accept a change because the August 28th Doha-Lisbon flight had been canceled. The only alternative was to fly via Madrid and make another stopover. This cost me an extra five hours of travel, more airport expenses, and part of the trip on a lower-quality flight. My greatest surprise was to discover, upon arrival in Doha on the 28th, that a flight to Lisbon was still available, with the same airline, just with a different number and 5 minutes earlier. I was never offered the option of taking this flight. For this reason, I consider myself a fraud and the fact that the airline didn't even respond to my complaint!! Shameful.

Qatar Airways is cheating its customers and refuses to follow its own rules. They are a nightmare to try to deal with and should be investigated by the regulators. We left Boston on 18 June 2025 via Qatar en route to JRO and had planned to fly back on 30 June also through Doha, Qatar. After a US attack on Iran on 2 June 2025, Qatar airspace was closed, and Qatar Airways told us when we called that they had cancelled our return flight. We booked a new itinerary on KLM/Delta, which cost us about $1500 more. Although QA did issue a refund, they did withhold $540 as a penalty fee. I have been trying to get that refunded for three months with no luck, despite many calls and emails. I finally reached a representative on one of many calls who explained that that their refund department decided that they had correctly charged me a penalty fee under the original terms of the ticket. This is extremely frustrating, not only because QA canceled the flight, but even more so because on the "Travel Alert" section of their website, they had posted a notice stating that "customers with travel up to and including 30 June 2025" may change their ticket without incurring a cancellation fee or "refund the unused value of their tickets without any cancellation fee." So they are not even following your own policy, and the customer service representative ultimately told me that they cannot help me further or connect me the your refund department. I have emailed various documents, including a screenshot of the policy that had been posted online regarding not charging a fee and the email that demonstrates that they did charge me a $540 fee. I've seen arrogant behavior from US Airlines, but not anything at this level. I will never fly this air again and I hope others follow that advice.

I was scammed by Qatar Airways!! Be careful. In December 2024, I booked flights from Portugal to Thailand in August 2025 for myself, my wife, and our three children. I booked with Iberia on flights operated by Qatar Airways (according to the information gathered, the operator is responsible). In March, with all my hotels booked, I received information that the return flight from Doha to Lisbon had been canceled and that the only alternative was to return via Madrid (+ 1 flight + 1 layover + 5 hours). Since it was the only alternative for the same dates, I accepted. On August 28, I landed in Doha from Phuket and was shocked to see on the information board a Qatar Airways flight to Lisbon at 2:05 PM (instead of the 2:10 PM flight I had initially booked). I immediately went to a Qatar Airways counter, where I was categorically told that Iberia was responsible (it seems that this isn't the case, at least according to Iberia). I feel cheated, because when I booked this new flight, I should have been offered the option to choose this flight, since that was my initial purchase. Instead, they maintained a solution where I arrived almost five hours later than the direct flight to Lisbon, wasting time at another airport, and spent part of the trip on a lower-quality flight without the same level of service. I complained to Iberia, who said the matter would be handled by Qatar Airways. I complained to them, and they even replied that the matter would be handled by another department, which I've been waiting for three weeks. Therefore, I intend to be reimbursed for the Doha-Lisbon flight, as I was the target of a commercial scheme or a morally reprehensible act.

I recently flew with Qatar Airways from Perth to Doha on 11 August 2025 (QR8406) and was shocked to find my seatbelt heavily frayed… an obvious safety hazard that should never have passed inspection. This raises very real concerns about Qatar Airways’ maintenance and safety standards. On the connecting flight to London (QR011), one of our seats would not recline and the onboard WiFi did not connect, but these pale in comparison to the seatbelt issue. Safety must come first, and in this case Qatar Airways failed to meet even the most basic expectations. I reported the issue and received a case number (CAS-395488-C0B7W3), but so far there has been no resolution. With our return flights scheduled for 15 September 2025, I do not feel confident that the airline can deliver a safe and reliable experience. Qatar Airways advertises itself as a 5-star carrier, but what I experienced fell far short. I am requesting either a full refund or, at the very least, a meaningful remedy before my return flight

I flew from Madrid to Doha, then connecting to Dubai — and it was one of the worst travel experiences I’ve had. Our flight from Madrid was delayed over an hour while we sat in the aircraft, with no clear explanation. By the time we reached Doha, we had only 30 minutes left to catch our connection to Dubai. There were no buggies or assistance provided for late passengers, even though they knew our connection was extremely tight. We had to run through the terminal on our own. At Doha, staff lied to us, assuring our luggage was already loaded onto the Dubai flight. When we finally arrived in Dubai, our bags were nowhere to be found — they were still in Doha. For an airline that claims to be “5-star,” this was completely unacceptable — poor communication, lack of passenger care, and dishonesty. I will not be flying with Qatar Airways again.

We were a group of people with kids flying from Dublin to Doha on the 17th of June 2025 at 3 o'clock on Qatar Airways. There was a very disappointing service. The guys, specifically the boys, weren’t happy to welcome us in a group. It’s like we had to please them, and they are not realising that we are the customers for them. They weren’t listening and cooperating with us at all. They never sound like they are welcoming us, except the girls. The service in Emirates is far, far better; that's why they are the top airlines. The air hostesses were not even happily serving. It's like they have been bothered by kids, but they forgot that they were also a kid. It's a totally big disappointment, and we're looking forward to the better service on our next flight.

I'm a frequent flyer and one of the reasons I often chose Qatar airways was my trust in receiving their help in the case of problems with my luggage. But I found out that my trust was completely misplaced. This month I attempted to receive help from the steward more than one hour before the landing, with on turbulence in sight, and thrice my light was remotely turned off; so in order to get help I had to walk the cabin to the rear where the stewards were happily socializing together. This very time arrived to my home destination with my luggage broken. When I turned to the Qatar airways airport stuff, not only the help was not provided; on the opposite, I was shouted at and accused. Taken aback, I asked for the name of the Qatar Airways employee who was the behaving unacceptably, and he refused to answer. Then I used my right to document this with my phone camera, the Qatar airways employee attempted to KNOCK OUT the phone from my hands, several times! On this point I should have called the police. The bottom line - bear in mind that if you happen to fly with this airline, avoid getting into situations where you would require some help. Or better avoid this airline at all.

They have the worst customer experience I have ever experienced. Recently had a 787 individual suite booked from Doha to JNB & they downgraded the plane to the old 777 with 2 seats on the window. Their service team refuses to change my flight to one with the 787 on the same day.

We had to pay a hefty fee for seat selection which is complimentary for other airlines that we have flown with. In Brisbane, we were refused entry to the lounge because we had only paid for a CHEAP business class fare. Is there any such thing? In Doha, the airport was packed with barely room to move anywhere. The claim that is the best airport in the world is laughable as most aircraft are boarded via BUSES. The airbridges seem to be for the exclusive use of Qatar Airways.

I am compelled to share my recent devastating experience with Qatar Airways which was characterized by a shocking lack of coordination and customer empathy. My wife and I had a flight scheduled from London to Jakarta with a layover in Doha. Upon arriving at Heathrow and beginning our check-in process, we were informed that our tickets from Doha to Jakarta had been cancelled. A subsequent interaction with a Qatar Airways representative further muddled the situation as they informed us that it was our London to Doha flight that had been cancelled, not the latter. Despite assurances from the operations supervisor and her team that the issue would be resolved and we would be able to board the flight, we were ultimately denied access due to the flight being overbooked. The chaotic miscommunication and lack of transparency not only led to immense confusion but also subjected us to high levels of stress and disappointment, especially considering my wife is currently pregnant.

The service onboard was enjoyable. The customer service afterwards has been horrid. I am still trying to get reimbursed from essential items I had to purchase while Qatar Airways located my luggage and eventually sent it to me 5 days later. I had important business meeting during this 5 day span. This trip was 7 months ago and I filed all of the required paperwork for the reimbursement. Using their online chat is extremely slow and I have had zero results from using it. Calling their generic phone number also takes a lot of time. I'm forced to explain my entire scenario to someone that can not access my case information and can only tell me that customer service will email. They have yet to email me. I'm beyond disappointed with the company and will never fly on them again.

Our experience changed from good to worst,when we chose to fly my parents who are senior citizens, we’re treated not as per the claims Qatar airways make, booked preselected paid seats were cancelled last minute with no initiation. Staff at airport lied that bulkhead seats have been given from Doha to Oslo. Despite 100s of tweets and emails, they are still investigating, they keep shifting blame on their system, sometimes on agent and sometime they completely forget what my complain was. Airline is overwhelmed with customers therefore the quality has degraded. Never going to travel again.,

OMG, they are amazing. Love, Love, Love them. Across board, the staff, crew, couldn't be more helpful and with the biggest smiles. Welcome drinks, a speciality. The gifts beautifully presented. Selection of warm nuts and after, the dinner blew me away. All beautifully set out and the delicate aroma and taste were of Michelin starred quality. The comfort of the seats and with the duvet etc slept with peace. The plane was still the old design but hoping for the long haul back, they deign us with the new model interior. Am excited for the end of the month now, when I leave. Plus a huge shout-out to Sara and Pimyada, the most delightful, funny, helpful cabin crew. QR292/04.04.23. See you soon.

I have purchased a number of Qatar QSuites, although more than half the time, Qatar downgraded the plane to an older-style business class… once very old. Of course, they do not apologize for this but refer you to the fine print. My last flight was a QSuite but my chair was broken... and it was broken in a very uncomfortable position that ended up causing me a lot of neck and back pain. It was a horrible flight. Having spent $3650, in lieu of this long and terribly uncomfortable flight that led to a migraine, they offered me 7000 Axios point, which basically covers a cup of coffee. Their customer service is horrible... and they never take care of you... and I am Platinum! So, if you don't have Gold/Platinum, know that they will never take responsibility for the problems you experience. Check-in was full of mistakes, causing me to have to wait for a corrected ticket, all the business class luggage came out after all the economy… and, while their prices are going up, their food quality has definitely come down a few notches as well. ALL very sad.

The space in economy is great, but unfortunately that's all the good I could see with Qatar Airways. Regarding airplanes, it should be mentioned that Qatar Airways picks up people in Zurich with the latest aircraft and brings them back again; but on the onward flights uses partly very old aircraft which are then no longer so comfortable. The entertainment program is very weak for a global airline. On the flight from Zurich to Doha everything was great and good; large screen and large selection of German movies. On the onward flight from Doha to Bangkok, however, the entertainment program was very, very, very poor. There was no program and no movies in German and in the settings could not be switched to the German language; for adults who speak English, this is still possible, but is also not comfortable and worthy of a global airline in the top places in rankings, but for children who can not speak English, this does not work at all and is absolutely unacceptable. I don't know what criteria you use for your rankings. Your result resp. your ranking is absolutely useless if the experiences of a trip with a family are so bad afterwards.

Did not provide QSuites on 50% of the sectors booked. Substituted very old 777 that was not nearly as comfortable. On one 16 hour flight from Doha to Miami my remote for the IFE did not work. Also experienced homophobic attitude and comments from a gate agent in Doha airport.

Got an opportunity to upgrade on the way back to the US in Business. Good service and attention to detail. They give you a cologne/upmarket lotions etc in a nice box. Really not unisex though. Food and libation was not given unless you request it. However, food and drink were excellent indeed.

Rather disappointed with this airline. I believe it was better in the past. For starters, the Call Centers give wrong information. The flight of ours for a domestic flight connecting to their international flight was cancelled. Yet Qatar never informed us of that. Also, the food has decreased in quantity. Also, they come around with ONE round of drinks. NO tea or coffee post meal. Will not use again.

Unfortunately, my luggage did not arrive in Melbourne. Qatar has chosen the worst ground service ever with Menzie Aviation. They don't respond at all to calls and emails. When I went to the airport to collect my luggage, I was told it was already in the van, which is on its way somewhere in the city and will be brought to me tomorrow. 12 days later I still have no info where it is and when I will get it back. I feel completely screwed! Qatar shows no effort to help me.

Delayed flight, took us to the wrong airport, ignored emails requesting a refund of $90 for the extra travel I had to pay to get to the correct airport. Our flight was delayed by an hour, so we missed our connecting flight in Doha International Airport. When we landed there, the ground staff silently gave us new tickets to London Heathrow instead of Gatwick. Upon arriving at Heathrow, we had to pay around $90 in coach fares to get to Gatwick Airport. I sent a support request detailing the situation and requested the refund of the extra travel expenses. I received an automated response and then nothing else. After I sent a follow up email a month later, I received a human response from a customer care rep, saying she would look into it. After that, there was no further contact. I’ve emailed Qatar repeatedly but they have simply ignored me. Qatar took us to the wrong airport without even bothering to tell us, and then ignored us when I asked them to refund the extra travel expenses they caused. I’ll never fly Qatar again, and I’d encourage others not to either.

Four weeks on and no response from their email team. After receiving an email telling me that my booking was cancelled and I would need to reschedule I was then lied to by their support team telling me that the flight was cancelled, which is why they had to move my booking. As I had another two friends on that flight I knew it was not cancelled and still going ahead from Sao Paulo to Doha. After pushing the service team they could confirm that the flight was now going ahead but if I wanted to get on it with my friends I would need to pay$5,509 to get on my original booked flight! Now it is almost impossible to speak with anyone that has even the smallest level of authority or responsibility at Qatar. Be it on the phone or in person in Doha or Sao Paulo "sorry please email us". Now what really was infuriating but not only did the original flight booked go ahead it was empty! To be precise only 210 of the 326 seatswere taken up. They sold the weight, lied to me about the flight being cancelled and then proceeded to lie.

I was waiting for 2 hours on my boarding gate, but I was denied to get onboard my flight. No one told me why, only that I must go to a transfer desks. Once I got to the transfer desk they surprised me saying that my flight was overbooked. I was trying all night long to get some water, or food, or somewhere to rest and no one helped me. In fact they were quite rude. I asked for 6 or 7 times for 6 hours at their desks and I got nothing from they. I ask for an official complaint form and I was denied as well. The story doesn't ends here. I've been trying to make a complaint to their non-existing customer care team (ironic name taking into account their absolut non-caring actions) for 2 months now, and I'm still waiting for an answer. If you are thinking in booking with them, I suggest you to previously take a look on the comments on their Twitter profile so you can see the mess they have when it comes about overbookings, refunds, baggage lost, and a large etcetera

Always a pleasure flying with Qatar. Trip from NRT-DOH was quite long but the service is so extra, I love it! The staff is so extra nice and you can tell that they love what they do. The economy class of the plane (B787) was starting to get old but they recently renewed the business class with the Q-suites. Both meals had 3 choices and soo many drinks to choose from. Everything is included. The wifi worked well but the IFE was a bit hard to navigate. What can I say, no wonder Qatar is the best year after year.

Booked flight from SFO to IKA (via stop in DOHA) flying out on July 15th. Flight left SFO 45mins late, go into DOHA 55 mins late, no fault of any passenger, not weather related. The Qatar staff in DOHA would not let us board our connecting flight saying the boarding has already closed! They bumped us off and put us on the next flight 6 hours away! They did not even check us into the lounge, saying it's "full". After flying 15 hours non-stop from SFO, my kids and I had to spend 6 hours at Doha airport sleeping on the floor. It hurt and injured my back and legs. I wrote to their complaint line and got a case# and a long email about how they are sorry about their sorry state of affairs and they are trying to improve but they didn't have the decency to show their genuineness by offering any kind of refund or benefit. First and last time I am flying with this airline.

Last year i would say my flight with Qatar airways was amazing. Excellent service. This year I was disappointed. Only few flight attendants, so we had to wait long time to serve us, poor meal, I’ve got vegetarian meal because there was no left other meal and we got only lunch, last year had breakfast and lunch during 6 h flight

After more than 18 years, I have ventured to travel to London from kolkata. I stand amazed by the efficiency of the cabin staff as well as the ground staff at Doha. The plane including lavatory was clean. The cabin crew have won me over by their hospitality and their attitude to provide comfort. Except for the space, all other facilities were almost equivalent to business class. The transfer at Doha was without any hassle. This airline and Doha have improved a lot in providing excellent service. As I had travelled earlier in Business class, my this visit by Economy class, despite my apprehension,did not fail to fulfill my expectations.

I was supposed to take a flight on Qatar, but was told the evening before in Ediburgh that the flight was cancelled. I managed to get another flight at considerable expense, but to my astonishment happened to see that the flight I was booked on was not cancelled as I had been told and was in fact boarding passengers. This look place a few months ago. I was put off by this and took it up with Qatar. They told me that in fact it was not cancelled but it had been because of covid and they had to stop some nationalties from travel to Saudi Arabia. I told them it was unacceptable that they had to resort to a lie and there was in fact no restrictions. This is not an airline that is to be trusted and they refused to compensate either after promising that they will issue a certificate.

We were escorted by someone to the Business class lounge which was very nice and comfy. Then someone came with a car to escort us to the gate where we were amongst the first to check-in. The staff tended to your every need and were very nice. Very large Tv and the seat had its own suite with a door and everything. When it is time for sleep they offered Pyjamas and made your bed while you were changing which changed into a fully flatbed. The flight was comfy too and almost no bumps arrived a bit early which was even better and landing and Take-off were very smooth as well. When we landed we were escorted by a car to get out of the airport. A chauffer was also offered.

5 days before my flight I started contacting Qatar airways asking to add additional luggage to my booking, because on the internet I couldn’t technically add it. Qatar Central office didn't pick up the phone, me hanging online more than 30 min. several times. Qatar Singapore office was closed due to Covid. I contacted Qatar via FB, they said I should be able to purchase luggage in the airport. They didn't offer to help me book it online, so I thought the price should be the same. When I arrived to the airport, I was charged as excess luggage 50 USD per 1 kg. I was told I had to book it online (which I couldn't). So I had to pay 2000 USD for 40 kg.It was unacceptable. I had to throw in the airport all my personal clothes and belongings to be able to keep my Christmas presents to family. It was embarrassing and traumatic. At the end I still paid for 27 kg 1350 USD. It is unfair price. I offered in the airport to upgrade me to higher class, so that it includes luggage, and it would be fair for the price. However, I was denied it.

I was travel 2 ways with QA from juba to amman via diha and nirobi , the way back the QA change the time of flight from amman to doha and I stay more than 11 h in doha airport when I asked for book hotel room the refuse to give me one . and I discover when arrived to juba my luggage both broken and some item stolen , I make the clam as soon as I got access to internet ( life in south sudan not like anyplace you can get access to internet ) the QA reject my clam as below email (Dear Tailkh, After consulting with Qatar Airways on your case, please note we have been advised that, regrettably, your claim was rejected as creation of the online file was done 48hrs after your arrival. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you. With kind regards, Simon Maina,Swissport - Kenya. Phone+254 (0)719 055 411 / 412 ) while in QA website mention its up to 7 days I can make the clam form . so I end up with 2 broken luggage in no where is south sudan .

Overall a good experience on flights from Perth to Madrid. Cabin staff were very good. Food was excellent. Mean with wine portions.

I recently flew Qatar Airlines Perth to Doha, Doha to Rome in May and returned Gatwick to Doha, Doha to Perth in July 2019. From the start it was an excellent experience. At every check-in staff were well organised and friendly. It was a long flight and in economy but again service was efficient, responsive and friendly. The A380 is quieter and more comfortable than most aircraft and I was able to get some sleep once curled up with blanket, eye mask and headphones in my window seat. Entertainment choices were good and food was tasty. I won't be hesitating to book with Qatar again. To arrive in good shape in Rome and ready to negotiate the Italian rail system made me very grateful to have chosen Qatar.

Our flights from Johannesburg to Vietnam and back were all superb. No delays, food was OK good leg room in economy. All flights were on time no delays. We will keep booking with Qatar airways so long were we want to go they fly there.
