To celebrate its inaugural domestic flights to Perth from June 28, Rex is offering travellers a one-off $99 sale fare* to Australia’s sunniest capital, just in time for the winter school holidays.

Rex Chairman the Hon. John Sharp AM said due to the cost of living pressures, many families are choosing to holiday domestically instead of heading overseas and Perth is a great staycation alternative.

“This is a fantastic sale fare for families and other holidaymakers looking to beat the winter blues and importantly, Rex has ensured it captures the school holiday period,” Mr Sharp said.

“With cost of living pressures, we know families are looking for hassle-free holidays closer to home and Rex has new flights to Perth from Melbourne and Adelaide at a great price point.

“So whether you want to escape the winter chill or embrace it, Rex has holiday options from a low $99 and unlike other carriers, our sale fares include checked baggage and refreshments.”

The first service on the new Perth to Adelaide route departs Perth at 11:55 am on Friday 28 June bound for Adelaide, with a return service leaving Adelaide at 5:00 pm. The new route will be operated by an Embraer E190 jet.

Travellers on the inaugural Melbourne to Perth service will board Rex’s Boeing 737 at 8:15 pm on the same day, with the first flight from Perth to Melbourne leaving at 11:55pm.

There are five weekly flights available between Perth and Melbourne and three from Adelaide.

Rex will offer Rex Flyer members who book during the flash 48-hour sale double Status Points.

The Rex Flyer program is completely free to join and passengers on both Rex’s regional routes and its intercity Boeing 737 network can earn points to redeem on a range of Flight Rewards.

The new routes to Perth mean Rex now flies to all major capital cities and popular destinations including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Adelaide, Hobart and the Gold Coast.
