Win a trip to Uzbekistan

In celebration of AirAsia’s Fly-Thru service, the airline, in partnership with AirlineRatings, is giving one lucky person the chance to win return tickets for two from Australia to Uzbekistan — all made possible through Fly-Thru.

Why Fly-Thru is a Game Changer

Traditionally, low-cost carriers have been known for simple, point-to-point routes. If you needed to connect between flights, you were usually on your own — collecting your baggage, clearing immigration, and checking in again for your onward journey. Even worse, these flights were on separate bookings, meaning you had no protection if your first flight was delayed or cancelled, causing you to miss the second.

Fly-Thru changes all that. It allows passengers to book two AirAsia flights under one booking, with baggage checked through to the final destination and no need to clear immigration at designated transit hubs.

For example, if you’re flying from Tokyo to Perth via Kuala Lumpur, your luggage is automatically tagged through to Perth. You don’t need to exit the airport, collect bags, or re-check in — AirAsia takes care of it all.

This innovation adds convenience, protection, and flexibility, making AirAsia a true regional connector rather than just a low-cost, point-to-point airline.

Why Uzbekistan?

AirAsia is expanding its Central Asia network with a brand-new route from Kuala Lumpur to Tashkent, Uzbekistan, launching 15 October 2025. The service will operate three times a week, with seamless connections available via Kuala Lumpur thanks to Fly-Thru.

Nestled in the heart of Uzbekistan, its capital Tashkent, is a thriving city renowned for its stunning Islamic architecture, bustling bazaars and leafy parks. As the country’s largest city and economic hub, Tashkent boasts a growing tourism sector and expanding business opportunities, making it an increasingly popular destination for both leisure and commerce.
