SPIRIT'S NICKNAME SHOULD BE SCAM-ARTIST AIRLINES. I bought a trip from Las Vegas to Minneapolis, but due to mechanical problems we aborted the trip to Denver. Okay fine, not a big deal, but when I asked for a refund this was the response Spirit's supervisor gave me: "We will only refund half your payment." Say what? "Well we flew you halfway to your destination, so we only owe you half a refund." I told the supervisor this is NOT acceptable, because the CONTRACT was for Minneapolis, not halfway, and under U.S. consumer protection law she must refund all the money (for failing to accomplish the goal stated). She refused, so I rebooked my flight through American at $100 extra (because it was a last-minute booking) BOTTOM LINE: Spirit charged me $100 for completely failing to get me to the desired destination, and they really deserve NONE of my money.
