I purchased 2 economy class tickets from Singapore to Paris in February for a flight in July. I wanted to upgrade to business class with my miles. Upgrading one leg only comes at the full fare of 374,000 miles (!) for the 2 passengers and the two cheaper fares are unavailable 6 months in advance. The call center said all was booked and the waiting list for cheaper fares is already closed. I have come across this problem numerous times. I fly 250,000 miles a year with SIA. In 4 cases out of 5, the upgrade is impossible, even being a Gold Member for many years and being 5 times over the Gold membership threshold. Krysflyer loyalty program is deceiving and does not give any kind of consideration to very frequent flyers. I have given feedback on their Facebook page and their website and they don’t even bother to give me any answer. I also had in the past 2 months 2 seat selections moved unilaterally and without warning by SIA from aisle to middle and discovered it when boarding the plane. All these issues show in my opinion a lack of respect to the client and a serious degradation of SIA’s service quality
