I travel extensively from Australia to global destinations every month for 12 years on business and fly on numerous different airlines but often on Qantas. I would say that Qantas loses some or all of our luggage 30% of the time especially on transfers through Sydney or Heathrow. It happens so often that we plan for this on Qantas now. Also the customer service compared to the competition has declined noticeably. It used to be good, but in recent years we have noticed a significant deterioration. Indeed we try to book other airlines nowadays and only use Qantas as a last resort.
