Korean Air has resumed its key European routes to Rome, Barcelona, Milan, and Vienna after being suspended in March 2020 due to the pandemic.

The airline is operating to Rome three times a week on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and to Barcelona on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

“We are excited to welcome passengers back to Rome and Barcelona after two and a half years. The European market is recovering faster than expected, and we are seeing a strong comeback in travel demand. We have recently resumed our Milan and Vienna routes and increased capacity on other routes. We will continue to closely monitor market trends and reinstate our remaining network accordingly as we work towards full recovery,” said Mr Jumin Kim, General Manager and Director of the Western Europe Regional Office of Korean Air.

Korean Air also launched its inaugural flight to Budapest, on October 3 with a once-weekly 269-seat Boeing 787-900, increasing two twice a week from October 31.

Also this month Korean Air resumed its routes to the United Arab Emirates and Thailand.

Dubai is now being served three times a week and Phuket four times a week.

Korean Air is also reinstating flights to Chiang Mai with a Boeing 737-800. The airline will offer four flights a week - every Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

Korean Air says it will continue to closely monitor the market and return of demand, and reinstate remaining suspended routes accordingly.

About AirlineRatings.com

Airlineratings.com was developed to provide everyone in the world a one-stop shop for everything related to airlines, formed by a team of aviation editors, who have forensically researched nearly every airline in the world.

Our rating system is rated from one to seven stars on safety – with seven being the highest ranking. Within each airline, you will find the country of origin, airline code, booking URL and seat map information. The rating system takes into account a number of different factors related to audits from aviation’s governing bodies, lead associations, as well as the airlines, own safety data. Every airline has a safety rating breakdown so you can see exactly how they rate.

Over 230 of the airlines on the site that carry 99 per cent of the world’s passengers have a product rating. Given that low-cost, regional and full-service carriers are so different we have constructed a different rating system for each which can be found within each airline
