Boeing has beaten Airbus for deliveries for the month of January for the first time since 2019. Citing a Bloomberg report analysts Seeking Alpha said that "Boeing tallied more monthly deliveries than Airbus for the first time in two years, with January's 26 aircraft that included 21 of the 737 MAX that was cleared to fly again after a 20-month ban." However, it reports that "Boeing's only orders in January were the final four sales of its 747-8 freighter, to Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, which will close out the jumbo jet's 50-year production run." READ: Qatar Airways the world's favorite airline It said that Airbus recorded no sales and delivered 21 planes in January. And in a very positive sign for Boeing, it only recorded two cancellations for the 737 MAX. It is estimated that Boeing has about 400 737 MAX jets in storage for delivery this year. Putting the devastating impact of the pandemic and the grounding of the MAX Seeking Alpha said that Boeing delivered just 157 jets last year, its worst showing in 43 years and well down from the record 806 in 2018.
