Etihad Airways review by mohanlal 2015-08-16

Booked ticket online for flight from Jaipur to JFK new york via Abudhabi for myself and wife. I have a middle name while wife does not have one. while booking my middle name was added automatically by system to wife's name. I was not aware of this as final display of name before making payment display shows only first and last names. Contacted local etihad staff in Jaipur to correct this which was not my mistake(delete middle name of wife) with passport as proof of correct first and last name . They said it is must to delete this as she will not be allowed to board and a charge of 120 dollars must be paid if I want to travel. Had to pay reluctantly. Contacting their customer service staff in abudhabi was of no help as they refused to refund the exorbitant charges. It appears that Etihad is running a racket of extracting money from customers by hook or crook, and will avoid this airline in future. Their seats are also very crampedin economy class. I travel frequently to USA and this is my first and last time with etihad ( my favourite airline is United non stop from Delhi)
