    THE WORST AIRLINE EVER…………………………………………………………………………… They sold me a ticket from Dublin for May 27th at May 13th. The flight was cancelled another tickets for June 1st cancellation again and then June 10th. The other ticket wa cancelled again. Irish Travel Trade Network on June 9th announced the Turkish would resume flights to Ireland on June 24th.. Wait a minute?! They sold tickets for flights that were not supposed to take off. What a shame!!!
    Also, according to EC261 which applies to all the flights departing EU cities for EU and non-EU carriers the refund must be processed 7 days after the cancelled flight date. Do they do that? No, they say that they would refund tickets 60 days after the restrictions are lifted. ……………………………They offered me an open ticket. At the moment I was told that I do not have to pay extra fees like fare difference or tax difference. After I accepted the offer, I received an email from them informing me that I might have to pay those fees… The most dishonest airline.

    Never had a WORST experience with an airline in 15 years of travelling
    Customer service number is a continuous loop of registered messages that answers no useful questions , and I got charged almost 10 pounds for calling it! ARE YOU KIDDING ME
    Could not get in contact with anyone during COVID crisis. Automated Facebook messages kept coming back and were of no help
    Got to the airport to find out that we would not be allowed on the flight because we left our country less than 14 days prior. Why the airline did not send an email about this to give time to make alternative plans? We were allowed to do the online checkin 24 hours in advance
    They left us on the ground and wouldn’t give us help making alternative arrangements, no hotel, no food. Clearly a breach of their duty of care to passengers
    Wouldn’t allow to request a refund that takes 7 days
    Worst airline and customer service. You’re an absolute shame, talking to us behind face masks that have been declared completely useless, and yelling at me for having a bad attitude when left behind on the other side of the world with absolutely no help WHATSOEVER. Absolute disgrace!

    An experience of opposites.

    On the positive side:
    – modern, clean planes, comfortable, lie-flat seats & comprehensive entertainment system.
    – great amenity sets, with a good selection of branded goodies.
    – delicious food the staff will tailor for you if they can.
    – New Istanbul airport is one of the best in the world. Large, spacious with plenty top retail opportunities. The lounge is spacious, plenty of seats with an impressive selection of ‘food stalls’ serving delicious food and Barista level coffee.

    On the negative side:
    – the staff on board are efficient but definitely not warm or friendly.
    – the departure process at Istanbul airport is one you need to know about. Passport control is before boarding, announced only in Turkish with grumpy, surly staff.
    – They changed our return reservation and insisted we confirm the flight. We tried, many times, to contact customer care in Istanbul and Bangkok. Neither answered the phone, even after 15 minutes. The only way we managed to get attention was by using social media. We must have wasted a half day of our vacation trying to get through! Horrendous experience!

    Overall, great products and average to poor service.

    On our 14 hours flight from Istanbul to San Francisco, they separated our family. One of my 6 years old was assigned 29J, me 28J, 4 years old 23D, and my wife 8D although my ticket was showing us sitting adjacent but they changed while issuing us boarding passes. We requested neighboring passengers to allow us to sit together but we found very non-cooperative neighbors. We requested airlines staff who called their supervisors. The supervisors arranged two adjacent seats by requesting one of the neighbor and asked us to travel two kids on one seat for 14 hours (how silly). Then started harassing our kids that they will leave them or their parents at the airport if they will not stop crying. After some harsh conversation, finally they ordered a stubborn neighbor (wanted to stay on window’s seat with a huge plane wing since she wanted to see the desert first time from the plane and due to wing can’t see anything 🙂 ) to vacate her seat.
    I will say, if you wanna save money and traveling alone this airline is good, never fly with Turkish if you are traveling with family, they will make your travel miserable.

    I have used Turkish Airlines couple of times, it wasn’t the best but I wouldn’t complain as well.
