    Booked air travel from MN to Israel and when we got to Boston ( flying Jet blue first flight ) before we boarded to Turkish airline we were told that we are not allowed on the plain because we require visas. I am an American citizen and my passport does not expire for another 2 years but was told that I am required travelers visa and was not allowed on the plain. Had to spent the night at the airport and fly back home the next day. Turkish airline refuses to talk about this situation and we planned this trip for over a year and spent over $8,000 on hotel and tour guide and airline tickets . They refuse to refund the money or take fault for their actions. We had a group of 36 people and all the others did not take Turkish airline and made it to Israel and back just fine. I will never fly this airline again or tell others to buy tickets from them .

    Flying from Tel Aviv to Istanbul, 4/20/19, as I was standing in the aisle to exit the plane, a young woman put BOTH hands on me and shoved me to the side – into the seats. I told her to relax. She started yelling at me, taunting me and laughing at the back of my head.
    I Immediately informed the young female flight attendant stationed at the back of the plane, that this woman – pointing to her – just forcefully pushed me with both hands. The flight attendant said, “Well, what do you want ME to do about it?” Incredulous, I said, “You’re telling me that I can punch someone on this flight and you will do nothing?” She laughed & said, “What can I do?” Shocked I exited & immediately told Turkish Air security, who told me to talk to TA Customer Service in the airport, who told me to talk to Customer Service on the phone, who told me to go online and put in my “feedback” on the website. No kidding.
    TA wrote to me: “In our investigation, we corresponded with the related department. According to correspondence, we could not detect any inconveniences (sic) regarding your feedback.”

    I wish, I can give them -ve stars, They don’t deserve even 1 Star. One of the worst airlines to fly with. Zero customer Service, No Courtesy, No English, No support when flight cancels, No Wheel Chair Support, Baggage was Damaged. I can’t even count problems with this Airline, I really don’t know how they are flying at international level. They should be banned and go out of business. It’s my mistake I chose this airline to fly. Worst experience of my 20 years of flying history. I won’t recommend anyone to fly with this airlines as I will never ever fly with them.

    Planes used for flights from San Francisco to Istanbul are old. They are cramped in economy more so than other airlines, and in business class they don’t lay flat. Flight attendants are ok.

    Furthermore, I cant stand their customer service. I flew with them quite a lot, and whenever I had to contact them over the phone or email regarding an issue, I absolutely hated the experience. The call center is in Turkey. Communication can be difficult at times, and they seem to be very rigid and unreasonable. One concrete example – my suitcase was damaged, and I submitted a claim. I submitted it less than 7 days since the arrival time of the flight. But they rejected my claim because it was a few hours more than 7 days since the departure time! The fact that they went by departure time as opposed to arrival time doesn’t make sense to begin with, and then being so rigid about the few hours just shows how bad the customer service is.

    Bottom line – cant stand this airline

    Airline with a lot of destinations but with unfriendliy staff.
    My seat was changed because they have selected a smaller plane. Wanted to have a window seat as booked (yes, I fly 100+ times a year and always sit at the window) . Staff was uncooperative and unfriendly. For me the last trip with the airline .
