    Very attentive staff.
    The food was excellent, it seemed like home made food.

    Huge delay, food quality more like economy. The “flying chef” is more of a joke. IFE got stuck. The cabin crew frequently confused “Chablis” with “Champagne”. The new airport in Istanbul is big but the business lounge was a fail – out of all the food stations, only one salad bar and another counter was open, where you could have lentil soup (not very good) and a cheese sandwich. That was all.

    I bought a round trip ticket from Ljubljana to Istanbul and I planned my trip, a month earlier. The outbound trip had been cancelled 2 days later, and I was forced to change my dates.
    The day of the trip, I had been asked to pay 102 euros for the luggage (I was allowed 23kg in the cabin, and 8 as hand luggage), because the employee decided this! The onboarding was delayed an hour without any explanation. I was extremely stressed, because I had very soon another flight from another airport to Antalya. Basically, I had enough time to arrive in the other airport, but because of the delay, I had to pay the double to a taxi driver to hurry up and ignore all the speed limitations ..
    I claimed in Turkish Airlines website after my return, they did not refund anything (1st night in the hotel, Taxi fees ..), They have just apologized for the delay and the cancellation with insane justifications, and I am still waiting for the luggage refund 20 days after my complaint!! …

    I will never fly with Turkish Airlines again. Be smart, spend your money with another airline! I booked directly on Turkish Airlines website 3 tickets for a flight from Bucharest to Los Angeles. Turkish Airlines changed the flight time and accepting the new time in their system lead to “systematic” error in their system (as they told me after calling them for 5 times and writing 2 emails over 2 months period). They said they fixed the error they generated. On the day of flight however the error was not fixed, we had to spend 1 hour at check in (because the tickets were too messed up), almost missed our flight because of this. When we boarded the plane from Istanbul to Los Angeles we discovered only 2 seats were extra leg room (we paid months in advance for 3 seats extra legroom). The 3rd seat was middle seat (not even aisle)…The cabin crew said there is nothing they can do, the plane is full.

    The Boeing B777-300ER was old and dirty. The cabin crew was in a rush to finish their service then withdraw at the back of the plane to chat in Turkish and ignore all the customers.

    The worst experience i ever had! All of their flights are always delayed ! They don’t notify you before this happens! But wasting 4 extra hours at the airport is no big deal compare to missing your connecting flight in istanbul and spending night in a crappy hotel and they didn’t even give us food! On top of that they brought us to the airport 5 hours before the flight, ridiculous! Oh wait, I also payed for seat selection for that flight that I missed, that’s money I ll never see again. All customer service tells you is they can’t help you in any way, no reimbursement, no business class upgrade, keep dreaming! They don’t care about your inconvenience at all. The line of arguing and yelling people at that desk at the airport in istanbul was endless. I can’t believe I payed 2400 dollars for a round trip ticket and that’s economy class! I personally will never fly turkish airlines again and will not recommend it!
