Flew Economy Class
The stewards were top notch, but I could not have been more uncomfortable in the seats! I have flown to Europe and Africa at least 20 times and was shocked to find out an international flight had seats so tightly packed together and that I could only recline about 2 inches. I could barely move down the aisle pushing my carryon without bumping into others. The seats in front were so close to me, I had only about 6 inches to squeeze my body between my armrest and the seat in front of me. I believe these tightly packed seats are dangerous if there was an emergency, I doubt people could get out of the plane in time. The greediness that this presents is as shocking as it is dangerous. I will be reporting this to the attorney general as well as writing more reviews wherever I am able. Shame on Delta/KLM for not caring about your customers. I will never book an international flight with your company again. I hope my reviews and comments will lose some of your customers to other airlines who care more about their customers well-being.

Flew Economy Class
Flew a red eye flight from Salt Lake City to Orlando, for some reason I failed to pick my seats when I booked this flight so when I checked in the night before I was unable to choose our seats home. First in line at the gate counter to get seats , only seats available were center seats but, she said that she would try to seat us as close together as possible. When we boarded out popped a new seat for me and when asked she said that a family wanted to sit together, really? to my dismay the guy in the window seat next to me weighed 400 pounds, couldn’t put the armrest down between us he couldn’t wear a seat belt. Flight was totally full, flight attendants unobservant, didn’t check to see if everyone was buckled because at this point they would have seen NO seat belt on the gentleman. Worst 4 hours of my life, went to the restroom and cried. Sat there for about 10 minutes and then stood in the back for 10 minutes which normally is a no no but, there was no flight crew in sight to say anything.

would give them a 0 on likeliness to recommend if that was an option. My family and I have been travelling with this airline for over a decade pretty much exclusively and have acrued some skymiles because of it. I used some of these to book a trip to see my best friend, but unfortunately a dear family member was struck with illness and I suddenly needed to rearrange my flight because I would be going to the hospital that day instead. I tried changing the trip online and they were going to charge me $150 which is about the price the trip would have been in the first place. I called customer service to ask for help, they were extremely unsympathetic and didn’t care or try to help me. So I went to Facebook. I got a message saying they would do everything they could to help. I then was connected to another uncaring and rude customer service agent who refused to offer any help unless I gave “the name of the person who is ill, the name, address and telephone number of the medical facility where they are staying. If you prefer not to provide the information you can take advantage of our reservation change options on award tickets. *TDL” Now name sure, even though that sounds like unless it’s your mom or dad they aren’t going to care. But address and number of the medical facility?? That’s extremely personal information! I said just that and they wouldn’t budge. Said I could take advantage of the change options, i.e. Pay them $150. I’m already taking up medical fees and now being punished for needed to change a reward flight?? Goes to show how little this airline cares about loyal customers or customers period. They lost my family’s business today that’s for sure.

Delta is by far the best US based airline and arguably the best anywhere. I have been flying for over 30 years globally and have been top tier frequent flier with American, Delta, and United. Delta is the most consistent and the best overall regardless of class flown. Their flight attendants are outstanding. I wish they didn’t fly so many Airbus planes, but I am pleased to see them phasing out the old MD-90/717 planes.
