    Perth-Bangkok Boeing 787 Dreamliner .
One of the more comfortable economy class seats I have had in recent years.
Good back support. No sore back at the end of the journey.
A main meal served shortly after take off which was outstanding. The in flight entertainment was excellent with crystal clear screens and sound. I was lucky to have an exit row seat which provided in limited legroom, so very comfortable. My fellow travellers commented that the leg room in the “normal” seats was good and the footrest was most welcome. One curious feature of the IFE was the headset plugged into the seat in front as was the remote control. This would be most inconvenient for the person in the aisle seat as you need to unplug every time the people sitting next to you wished to leave their seat. There is a lot of hype about the Dreamliner is it warranted? On boarding it is not much different to any other aircraft. Certainly looks and feels spacious the over head lockers are huge. Once airborne there is a big difference. Much quieter, smoother, the air seems fresher, on disembarking you don’t have that dried out feeling. The lighting is much kinder to the eyes. The windows are considerably larger and feature electronic dimming enabling the passenger to see without the glare. Shortly before arrival we were served ice cream.
During the flight the crew made ablest 4 passes through the cabin with soft drinks and water. Thai lived up to expectations as did the aircraft.
