Southwest Airlines review by Thomas 2014-01-10

I flew to Omaha from Reno in October and from Reno to Seattle in December. The new seats make for an uncomfortable flight. The seat pitch is dramatically less (distance between your seat and the seat in front of you). The seats are thinner and harder with less thigh support. Their staff remain good, although not as friendly as in the past. The frequent flyer program now is undecipherable, I get an e mail with my “points” each month and have no idea as to how many I need for a free ticket. Overall, my impression is that Southwest is now completely run by the bean counters. They have added another row of seats and they obviously don’t care how uncomfortable the passengers are, and then the airlines wonder why people are so grumpy and miserable when they fly.
