Ryanair review by Alan 2015-01-08

Ryanair flies all Boeings (new, clean safe ones, if a bit gaudy yellow on the inside) but really they should use Airbus – because that is exactly what Ryanair is – a bus in the air. And what’s wrong with that? Book online, print your boarding passes, get on, sit, get off in the airport they said they were going to. And for a lot less than most other airlines.

They are safe, they are cheap, they get you there on time. They now have allocated seating and they now don’t count a handbag as a second piece of carry on luggage, and if you forgot your boarding pass (your fault, not theirs) you can get them to print it for a lot less than before. And Michael O’Leary has twigged that it pays to be nice to his customers! He now loves you!!

For sure all else being equal for a little more money I would chose a full service airline on the same route over Ryanair but it just depends on how much more I am going to have to pay.

If you didn’t print your boarding pass – your fault, read the terms and conditions. If you are annoyed that they fly you to 60km from the city you are going to – look at a map you fool before you book, it’s your fault not the airline. So for all those who give a negative review – cop on for goodness sake, it’s a bus that flies, not a 5 star hotel you’re paying for.
