Air India review by Stephen

I paid for two seats for my wife and 4 year old son, flying from Birmingham Uk to New Delhi India.
For reasons unknown, my 4 year old dependent son was seated in a separate row from his Mother. He was so distraught and distressed upon being separated from his Mother, he would not stop crying. Air Stewards response to my wife “Madam, the flight is full. If you wish to be seated with your son, you will have to negotiate with your fellow passengers”. No passenger was willing to facilitate and my wife spent the entire 8 hours with my 4 year old son sat on her lap. This was so uncomfortable that she developed back pains. Repeated appeals to the Air Stewards were met with the same response outlined above.

To separate a 4 year old child from his Mother is INHUMANE. I paid for two seats and expected that my dependent child would be seated next to his Mother. The fact that my wife and son were literally left with no choice but to occupy ONE seat is a disgrace. And the customer complaints process for Air India is not fit for purpose, I am being ignored.
