Air India review by Liz 2016-01-07

Air India must be the worst airline I have ever experienced. They continually change flight routes with just an email advising of the change. In my case the change made my flight much longer as it was no longer a direct flight and there was no attempt at service recovery, I was offered no compensation. Yet if I had wanted to change my ticket I would have to pay. Transiting in Delhi was anything but comfortable both from a lounge and airconditioning point of view. Then to top this off about 3 hours into the flight to Sydney the entertainment system failed for the whole of the area I was seated in and the staff could not restart the computer system or get the entertainment system to work. The plane was very full so there were virtually no spare seats for people to move to. The food was mediocre and the breakfast cake/croissant was stale. This situation confirms that this a third world country airline with no idea of best practice customer service. It is unlikely to introduce best practice to international standards unless its Indian clients start to complain but to do that these customers need to know what they are entitled to as international airline customers
EDITORS COMMENT: Sounds like a very long fight!
