Aer Lingus review by Annalise 2013-02-18

I travelled from London to Cork and Cork to Amsterdam on Aer Lingus. I have travelled on Aer Lingus on many occasions and over the years have witnessed them change from a pleasant airline to travel with to being one with many rules and regulations. The service and the trip is fine, however I was extremely stressed about weight after hearing stories about them charging for 1 kg of overweight luggage. I had a situation a couple of years ago when I was told they wouldn’t put my luggage through to Perth as I didn’t have the one ticket all the way through-they did eventually do this but I was told they would not do it again. On my recent flight from London to Cork, there was a young family in front who were told that they couldn’t bring their hand luggage on as it was too large and needed to go in the cabin. The luggage wasn’t very large at all. They protested saying that they were allowed it on other airlines and it had all their supplies eg: nappies etc in it. This did not work but luckily they were still allowed on the flight.
