Emirates has had a stellar first year with its Premium Economy with more than 160,000 travellers upgrading their flying experience. Emirates was initially reluctant to install Premium Economy but the decision to (eventually) do so has more than paid off with the success far surpassing expectations.

Since the unveiling of the airline's Premium Economy Class, the response from customers has been overwhelmingly positive. Solo adventurers embarking on holidays constitute nearly half of the Premium Economy passengers, while couples and families comprise the remaining portion. Impressively, more than 60% of those who have booked Premium Economy flights over the past year are devoted Emirates Skywards members and frequent airline patrons.

The Premium Economy product is currently accessible on flights to 11 destinations. This availability will extend to 13 cities by the close of the year. The popularity of the product also means the airline will be upgrading 67 A380 cabins and 53 Boeing 777 cabins. Upon completion of this initiative, over 4,000 Premium Economy seats will be installed.
