Today we bring you two stunning videos of the BOAC (British Airways) Comet which beat the Boeing 707 to cross the Atlantic first in 1959.
But that victory was very shortlived with BOAC withdrawing the Comet from service after just seven years - preferring instead the larger 707 and VC-10.
