Japan Airlines is offering international tourists up to 100,000 free domestic seats in 2020 as part of a national tourism campaign. The seats will be available between July and September 2020 as part of the “Your Japan 2020” campaign to be launched this year by the Japan Tourism Agency and the Japan National Tourism Organization. The Win a Trip with JAL promotion will offer international visitors 50,000 return flights to regional Japanese destinations they might not have otherwise visited. Groups of up to four people can apply and the itinerary must be completed within 10 days of the first flight. The offer will apply to JAL Group domestic routes from Tokyo’s Haneda airport and Osaka’s Kansai and Itami airports. The campaign will be launched in late February and eligible participants must live outside Japan and be a JAL Mileage Bank Member. It is open to foreign passport holders or Japanese citizens who are permanent residents of another country. The promotion coincides with the Tokyo Summer Olympics from July 24 to August 9.
