The cockpit of a China Southern Airlines Airbus A380 was been badly damaged by hail on Monday while on approach to Beijing. The A380 was operating flight CZ3101 from Guangzhou to Beijing. According to Aviation Herald, the China Southern Airlines Airbus A380 was en-route at 11,300 meters (FL371) near Henan when the aircraft received the hail strike causing the windshields to become cracked. The crew performed a rapid descent to 5100 meters (FL167) and continued to Beijing for a safe landing about 90 minutes later. READ: Virgin's Pacific daylight express a real winner! It is unclear as to why the crew didn’t pick up the danger with the aircraft’s multi-scan radar.
