Boeing is close to a major order Delta Air Lines for up to 100 Boeing 737 MAX 10 jets, according to sources Reuters reports. The order, if it is placed will be a major win for Boeing as Delta has become a very solid Airbus customer with the A320 family and the A350. In fact, if the order comes off it will be the first order from Delta for Boeing's 737 MAX and the first major Boeing order for the carrier in a decade says Reuters. The win would come after two major losses last year at KLM and Qantas which switched to the A320 family. Reuters reports that "in September, Airline Weekly quoted Delta Chief Executive Ed Bastian as saying there was a place for the MAX at Delta if the carrier could figure out how to bring them in. "Asked about the MAX in London earlier this month, he told reporters Delta was always looking at all airplane models," Reuters said. READ: Ocean Infinity commits to a new search for MH370 in 2023. Our rating system is rated from one to seven stars on safety – with seven being the highest ranking. Within each airline you will find the country of origin, airline code, booking URL and seat map information. The rating system takes into account a number of different factors related to audits from aviation’s governing bodies, lead associations as well as the airlines own safety data. Every airline has a safety rating breakdown so you can see exactly how they rate. Over 230 of the airlines on the site that carry 99 per cent of the world’s passengers have a product rating. Given that low cost, regional and full service carriers are so different we have constructed a different rating system for each which can be found within each airline.
