Alaska Airlines gear punches through wing

An Alaska Airlines Boeing 737-800, performing flight AS-1288 from Seattle, WA to Santa Ana, CA (USA), landed down hard on the runway causing the airlines main gear to punch through the left wing. According to the Aviation Herald the aircraft came to a stop on the runway and was disabled. The aircraft sustained substantial damage but there were no injuries
