Air Austral is Reunion's international carrier with a small fleet of Boeing 787s and ATR turboprops, connecting the island with Paris, Mayotte, Madagascar, Mauritius and South Africa. A genuine flat-bed business cabin and attentive cabin service are available on the 787. Economy seat pitch is tight on the long Paris sector, so seat selection is worth considering. Regional ATR flights within the Indian Ocean are a much plainer product, with no premium cabin.
