Air France/ City Jet run a number of convenient flight times in and out of London City Airport (LCY) on weekdays which is convenient for business travel and a fraction of the price of similar BA flights. From central London, the commute to LCY is much quicker than to any of the other airports. However, getting to gate 10, the last one down a long, cold corridor to then board a bus out to the plane was a bit of a trek from the main departure area. The plane to Edinburgh was a small propellor plane (Dornier 328) which seems to make for a bit of a bumpier take off and landing, but I'm getting used to it. The plane has just one row of small overhead lockers so I needed to check my cabin baggage sized case, but there was no wait for the luggage at the other end. The seat layout is one seat on one side of the aisle and two seats on the other side with 31 seats in total (9 full rows plus extras at the front and rear). It was a novelty having both an aisle and a window seat all in one! The flights were only about half full so people could spread out a bit. Even though it is only a short flight of about 80 minutes, they serve a complimentary drink and snack (eg. Sandwich, cookies, tea, coffee, water etc) and the staff were very pleasant
