October 27th flying from Athens, to Istanbul,to Miami. Upon leaving they gave me one boarding pass. When I arrived in Istanbul, I had one hour to stand in line with literally 500 other people in order to get my connecting boarding pass. I missed my flight by 2 minutes. Why they didn't provide all required passes initially is probably because this is a new route they just undertook. I then stood in line for the next 3 hours paying 30.00 for a visa, 190.00 penalty for missing my flight, passport check, taxi to motel, motel for one night 70.00, And a whole bunch of aggravation. My one way flight was 570.00 initially. But they did return my luggage by transport within a day of my return. There was nothing I could have done to make that flight, because I had to stand in line for a second boarding pass. Thanks, but I really can't afford this additional cost. EDITORS COMMENT: Ouch - that's very unfortunate. It is common to have to pick up your boarding pass at the next stop but to have to wait in line and miss your flight because of it is really not fair.
