Fiji Airways review by Carly 2014-05-06

After booking our flight through Fiji Airways, and then reading the reviews, I was very worried that we made a mistake. My trip went LAX - SYD -NAN -LAX, and my husband's went LAX - SYD - NAN -AKL - LAX, all on Fiji Airways. The portion of the trip where we were together went off smoothly, and without a hitch. We flew economy and while the seats were fine for me, my 6"6 husband was cramped. But Fiji Airways was very kind, and when he flew by himself, he was given a bulkhead seat or an exit row. The food was similar to food we have had in economy class on Air New Zealand, so no complaints there. The really impressive part of Fiji's service was when he showed up for is AKL - NAN - LAX flight. He misread his itinerary, and showed up late to the flight. He was completely panicked, thinking that he would need to spend another night in Auckland. Fiji Airways did something neither of us were expecting - they put him on an Air New Zealand flight, at no additional cost, so he would make his connection. This was really amazing customer service, and went above and beyond what we were expecting. Thank you so much for such amazing customer service. I will always tell people about this, and the next time we go back to Fiji, we will be flying with Fiji Airways.
