On average, the AA flights I have taken arrive in Charlotte with less than 30 minutes prior to connecting flight take off AND the arriving flight gate and the departing flight gate are on opposite sides of the airport AND they require me to check carry on that conforms to the carry on size limits. This has led to several missed connections. The last flight where this happened, my return to destination was critical and I could not wait until the next day flight, no rentals available in all of CLT, I took a car service. AA refuses to reimburse. In addition, the AA customer service rep in the airport (CLT) was downright rude.
