American Airlines review by Boris 2016-06-28

Signed up for the American Airlines Citi rewards card in August, 2016. Planned on using the bonus miles for a flight I had in February 2016. As of January, and after numerous calls to American Airlines, I had not received my bonus miles yet had met all of the spending requirements. They were finally able to "loan" me miles to book my flight, but I had to pay an $80 processing fee since the flight was within 21 days of booking. I had spent hours on the phone with various representatives in the months prior trying to sort out the problem, yet they would not waive the fee.
