Virgin Australia review by Matt 2015-11-14

I recently flew with Virgin Australia from Melbourne to Sydney. We paid for our flights online and received an e-mail about a week prior to the departure advising us that we had been selected to bid for an upgrade on our flight from economy to business through their "Upgrade me" program. I was travelling at the time with my partner so I was bidding for the both of us. I put in what I deemed to be a reasonable amount and received an e-mail a couple of days later advising us that we have been successful. We were excited about the benefits of flying business. We received priority check in and bag drop at the air port as well as access to the Virgin Lounge at Melbourne airport. The experience in there was great. We then proceeded through the priority security directly off from the Virgin Lounge which was a quick easy process. On board the flight attendant was very pleasant, the seats were very comfortable and the on board business class food was delicious. Considering I paid a fraction of what the business class fare is we were very satisfied with our trip. We would highly recommend Virgin Australia to our friends and family.
