I became an advocate of Turkish airlines after few trips I took to Europe through Istanbul. Turkish airline felt close, had a peculiar mix of east and west, let alone its central location. The following bad experience shattered all. I was scheduled to travel to Nice through Istanbul on Turkish airline on June 3rd at 1:45 am with my husband and daughter. I stepped out of the car and realized I did not bring my passport, so I turned back to bring it. My husband and daughter continued to check in and inform the TA about the issue. At check in, they were told that if I come by 1:15 they will let me continue. I was informed. However, the Turkish Airline manager insisted I do not get on that flight and that my husband should pay 89KD extra to guarantee me a seat on the 6:00 O'clock flight. I arrived back at 1:10. I asked if there is any other airline that could take me to Istanbul and connect with my family or to Nice as early as possible. The employees suggested I try other Turkish airlines. The manager insisted I should continue to Nice on the same airline. I reserved one way to Nice, paid, sent my family a note. I arrived Nice, Turkish airline cancelled my return. Management??!
