Turkish Airlines review by Maria 2015-10-25

The pros of flying Turkish Airlines is the quality of the food. I flew business class from San Francisco to Istanbul and the food was very good and flavorful. The service was good not great. The cons for me in comparing with other business class trips is that the service was not as attentive as others. It may have been because of the language barrier. Not many of the attendants spoke very good English. Also, this may be a cultural issue, but don't expect to be served alcoholic beverages generously. In order to get any drink including non alcoholic, I found myself having to frequently ask. They do not like other airlines come around asking you if you would like refills especially for alcohol. They did occasionally for water but could have also asked more frequently. They provide a welcome beverage solely of lemonade, punch, water and orange juice. There is no offer of alcohol. Then, I timed it on the return flight, it took an hour before they would even serve alcohol. The other complaint I had is with the equipment on the plane. The chairs did not work well and were difficult to adjust . The entertainment center was also not user friendly. EDITORS COMMENT: Thanks for the balanced and informative review.
