I had one checked bag that was 4 kilos over the limit. I’m entitled to 2 free bags so I pointed that out to the supervisor Luis Orellana. But he insisted on charging me $200 for the extra 4 kilos.if I’d had a second bag there would be no problem. Insane! What’s the aggregate weight difference!!? $50 per kilo! That's extreme and pure corporate greed. I again pointed out that this was unreasonable and punitive. Good old Luis shrugged and said complain to the company. Thanks for nothing Luis. I was a frequent American Airlines traveler but because of this unfair business practice I will no longer fly American unless my destination has no other options. American needs to rethink this dreadful policy if they want my business again.
