Etihad Airways review by Kilian 2014-01-30

SYD-AUH A340 AUH-GVA A330 I don't know why this airline has such a terrible overall rating! People have way too high standards I think. End of the day its just economy class. And I was pleasantly surprised on how good of a trip we had. This airline has as good of a product as Singapore Airlines (which I consider to be the best in economy). Consistency of the standard was visible all the way from SYD to GVA. Great service from the flight attendants who were always friendly and smiling. Good food, with three choices of meals. The seat was excellent considering I am 1.9m tall and the entertainment was great too (quite a large screen!) Might I also add that this airline, (in partnership with virgin australia) is one of the first carriers that has increased the baggage allowance from 23 to 30kg. Overall I was definitely happy with the overall trip and would fly them again. Although I do try to avoid booking the 777 with the 10 across seating.
