Air China review by Peter 2016-06-07

This was my first time flying Air China. I had read many bad reviews and was admittedly nervous. I flew.... Melbourne - Beijing - Vancouver and... San Francisco - Beijing - Melbourne Aircraft... A330-200 + 777-300 + 747-8i For the price, it was great. Sure there could be some refinements and some services were a bit lacking in some aspects, but all in all, I enjoyed my many hours onboard. The seats on the 777 & 747 are different from the 330 and slightly better, but the 330 version was very comfortable. The food was good (not fantastic) and the crew always had a caring interest in my comfort. Sometimes I felt that they were embarrassed that their English was not better and they were reserved in case they said the wrong word. I had read terrible things about the Business Class Lounge in Beijing... and no shower facilities. Wrong. There are fantastic shower facilities! Just ask at the desk. The showers are downstairs (direct elevator access). I only had some 'snack' items in the lounge (sandwiches, fruit and a choc bar) but there were lots of other options. Not sure about the bar facilities. All in all... I would use them again.
