Having to sit on a flight with no access to the basics (water ) is unacceptable. 8hrs + on a flight with not even so much as a complimentary drink is poor. Air Asia have a strict no bring food and drink policy so unless you want your change from a $50au note for a $2au drink in Malaysian RM and the inability to pay with credit card you end up at your destination dehydrated and in pretty poor condition. The flight attendants are predominantly Chinese and have a robotic character to themselves. No inflight entertainment unless you hire a tablet, cabin temperature turned so low you freeze or have to hire a blanket, then after an ordeal of a flight the airline has the nerve to ask you top make a duty free purchase, and of course all major currencies accepted change given in Malaysian RM. EDITORS COMMENT: We don't agree with the no water thing but its a global standard with low cost carriers and why the fare is cheaper - you have to buy on board - food , entertainment - everything. If you don't want to pay on board then you need to pay more for the original ticket and fly with a full service all inclusive carrier.
