For CX469 I think overall is great, Cathay's Business class offer really good services and a really good meal service for both business class and economy class.

I booked a business class ticket with Cathay Pacific expecting comfort and a premium experience, but it was extremely disappointing. I was seated next to an unclosed toilet and near airline staff, making the cabin noisy and uncomfortable. The toilet smell was unpleasant, and the service did not meet the standards expected for the price paid. I contacted Cathay Pacific about this, but their response was generic and offered no proper solution. After paying a premium fare, I expected a serious response, not a standard reply. If I could give a negative star rating, I would. I strongly advise others to avoid this airline, as my experience shows it fails to deliver the service promised, even in business class.

The airline cabin was clean and the seat looked new and was very comfortable. Check-in was fast and the service staff were really nice and helpful. Food on board was amazing as well as the inflight entertainment. The overall was excellent and it is one of the best airlines and would recommend it to all!

CATHAY PACIFIC HIGHLY RECOMENDED !EXCELLENT AIRLINE ME and my wife recently flew from Toronto to Mumbai VIA HONG KONG with this wonderful airline. We were served extremely well through out the journey . We both are seniors and have used wheel chair to enable us to assist during travel . Our discovery with CATHAY PACIFIC airline was unique in the way we were served by compassionate kind and extremely helpful staff. Even the air hostess and steward on board were prompt efficient and worked hard to provide us NOURISHMENTS and snacks in between meals as we take medications and my wife has diabetes requiring her to eat frequent short snacks . The ground staff at all airports crew of Cathay pacific all truly amazingly out perform their duties. We are extremely grateful and will frequently use your airlines and surely recommend to all friends and relatives as we have experienced exceptionally great 5 star quality service .Thank you CATHAY PACIFIC TEAM for being punctual on flight and serving us with that infectious smile. APPRECIATE SINCERELY DINKAR SOUKUR AND wife SAVITA SOUKUR

Cathay's customer service attitude and its business ethic during the COVID crisis are appalling. They coldly kicked a heavily pregnant woman out of the flight with no alternative remedy and separated her from her disabled mother without taking any responsibility. The CS said the earliest next flight for me is 2 September, way pass my 36-week of pregnancy. This is either a lie or an act of negligent. I found out later that other Cathey passengers who got bumped off their flights after my case got offered flights much earlier than this, even as early as 11 August.

Booked Business class from Mumbai to Hong Kong. 1.Horrific check-in experience at Mumbai.. the guy even insisted on weighing my wife's brown paper bag with sandwiches... and they ended up charging us $$$ in excess... in fact, more than the cost of another ticket 2.Onboard experience was just pathetic, causing me to wonder how is it possible for a once great airline to now be so Bad and substandard. eg. Flight attendants were slack, impolite and lazy. And.. Halfway through the flight, they ran out of soap in the Business class bathrooms.. yep! No longer can Cathay claim to be a premium airline.

I was traveling from jfk to ccu via Hong Kong 2 days back. First to start with my luggage was man handled and the holder was taken off. I do not even want to get into on what all was damaged in the luggage. My bag was of 200$ and it was an extra luggge for which I paid 220$. After looking at the bag and the inside objects I wonder why did I pay. I should have left it there. I have pictures of that but not sure how to upload it. Secondly the leg from hk to ccu was Cathay dragon, the air hostess was so lazy that inspite of asking for water for 4-5 times I still did not get it.

Sadly I did not have a good experience in a recent trip to and from Hong Kong. 1/ the flight was delayed 7+ hours without explanation, resulting in us cancelling our long-arranged dinner reservation and losing an afternoon's vacation time. We later found the delay was caused by crew illness. No compensation was offered. 2/ the check-in staff were unsympathetic and unhelpful when I pleaded for my wife and I to be given adjacent seats. Luckily one of the ground crew was much more responsive after more pleading and was eventually able to assist, but the whole process left a sour taste... 3/ the food quality on the flight was, at times, quite awful. A bowl of boiled, unseasoned pasta does not constitute a decent dinner! Following our arrival home, my wife and I both had food poisoning; the only thing we ate in common was the airline food! I have flown with Cathay Pacific previously and each time the flights have been delayed; this was the worst. I am afraid to say I will avoid flying with this carrier again.

LHR-DPS via HKG. Outstanding service from the ground to the air. Check in was efficient, ground staff were courteous, professional and friendly. Requested for extra leg room and was given without any hesitance. As oneworld Sapphires, we were able to access CX lounges in LHR and HKG so we ended up in the Pier Business Class lounge which had everything you need. Food served on board was great. IFE selection was endless. Overall, the best airline option to Asia.

I flew from Vancouver to Hong Kong direct in economy on Nov 16, 2018. There was a 3.5 hour delay. We were suppose to fly out at 1:15am, and we didn’t depart until 5am. I was offered a $15 meal voucher. Only thing opened at that time was Wendy’s before the security, good thing I thought of that before going through the check point. Other than that, everything else was smooth. No hiccups on the flight, the food was good and the flight attendants were courteous and attentive in offering amenities, refreshments, cup noodles were available the entire flight upon request. My trip back was uneventful, no delays. My family and I have always flown Cathay for their service and comfort, I’m hoping the value stays true even in this economy.

Dreadfully awful, rude, unhelpful and inconsiderate to a family of four (two under 6) simply trying to sit together and get some help accessing the plane itself. Told to “get to the back of the queue!” aggressively and unsympathetically. Would never travel with them or anyone using them as a partner ever again.

I cannot believe the fantastic service from Cathay Pacific staff both in the airport and in-flight. They really went the extra mile to help me. Air New Zealand dumped me in a broken seat for 13 hours which resulted in an injury to my leg, treated me like dirt, and I then used Cathy Pacific from Tokyo to Hong Kong. The queue for a boarding pass was massive and I knew I would be unable to stand that long so approached a business class rep and asked was there any way she could help me get my pass and perhaps priority boarding to avoid my leg getting bashed. I am still in agony nine months later. I showed them the doctors' report explaining the extent of my Air New Zealand induced injury and she immediately fast tracked my pass, got someone to assist me through priority check-in/security and arranged priority boarding above and beyond what I had asked for and the stress relief was immense. I'd been treated so badly by Air New Zealand I was worried about even asking for help, but Cathay were absolutely amazing. On reaching Hong Kong, I found that they had also arranged assistance for me right to the train from the aircraft. They really couldn't have done more for me if they had tried and were so lovely, kind, compassionate and helpful, the complete opposite to all the Air New Zealand ground staff I had to deal with who were rude and one in particular just downright insulting. I really cannot thank you all at Cathay Pacific enough. Absolutely fantastic. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

First time I've flown with Cathay Pacific and I would definitely use them again. The plane was an older model with not so many choices on the in-flight entertainment system as other flights I've taken but certainly a good enough selection to fill the five hour flight. I also really liked their option to tune into a camera under the plane, something no other airline had! The staff were very helpful, went above and beyond, in fact, to help me with an injury I'd received following an awful flight with Air New Zealand in which they dumped me in a broken seat for 13 hours (don't get me started, read my review!). Cathay Pacific literally bent over backwards to assist me during the flight and throughout the checking-in procedure, security and onwards journey. When I reached Hong Kong, they went way above what I had requested which was just to board priority to prevent my leg getting knocked. All the staff were courteous and professional; I really can't fault them at all. Total thumbs up!

This is by far the best air line I have ever used. The seats are incredible comfortable and enough space to stretch out your legs. The food was fantastic and so was the flight attendants. This is an airline company I'd GLADLY use again, and also tipped my friends to use for international flights. Absolutely FANTASTIC! It was TRULY a pleasant flight. How ever, just with the rest of the flight companies and their food choices for allergic people, it is painstakingly hard to get gluten free vegan food. It should bee law that says that a person with several food allergies have the rights to get food, suitable for their allergy on their flight journey, so they can eat without having to get the journey destroyed due to unspeakable stomach pains, or worse death by allergy chock. This needs to bee change, because it is wrong that those in the business class can remove certain ingredients and not an allergic person sitting in the economy class. It is not the airline companies fault, it is the bloody system from those higher ups, that control the airline companies, SHAME ON THEM.

ADL-HKG A330 Premium Economy HKG-LHR B777 Premium Economy Flying to London via Hong Kong with a minimal connection time was the worry, and on check in at ADL we were advised we had no chance of making the connection as the incoming flight was late; so we were moved to the last flight of the day leaving HKG at 2350. CX provided us with hotel accommodation for the day at HKG airport, we eventually arrived in LHR the following morning at 0500. Service on both flights was perfect at up to the CX standard, our only problem was not being able to get the initial seats we had hoped for. But that is understandable and nothing worth complaining about. Meals on both flight were well presented and an option of 3 types, warm towels were offered on departure and morning arrival, snacks were offered nearly every hour on the overnight flight with 2 option breakfast offered about 2 hours prior to landing. Arriving at LHR we were bused from the plane to the terminal, luggage arrived quickly, we were off the plane and into the Healthrow express plane within 50 minutes.

LHR-ADL B777 Premium Economy HKG-ADL A330 Premium Economy Check in at LHR is so confusing, there are self check in and bag tag terminals, but then we waited 35 minutes in the queue to drop off the bags whilst two agents tried to fix issues with other passengers flights. eventually being asked to go to the First Class queue, where the agent was surprised that we had printed our boarding passes and attached the luggage tags. Once check in was over all went well, flight out of LHR is after 10pm, so you get dinner pretty much within the first hour and then the lights went out. Meals on both flights were well presented and an option of 3 types, warm towels were offered on departure but not on arrival, no snacks were offered on the LHR-HKG flight, breakfast offered about 2 hours prior to landing which is weird as your landing at night. A tight connection time as we left LHR 40 minutes late, but a sprint through HKG got us to the connecting flight on time. From HKG to ADL the service is a smaller A330, again with dinner offered within the first hour. Three choices to pick from, meat, fish or pasta. Breakfast is about 3am Adelaide time with two options, western style scrambled eggs with sausage or dim sum. Both not bad. Service on both flights was perfect, the IFE had been updated for the new month so lots of new things to watch. Deplaning in ADL was quick we were in the taxi within an hour.

Sydney to Hong Kong connecting to Barcelona. Not withstand it was a Business Class seat everything else was cattle class. If Cathay is meant to be in the top 10 world airlines the rest can't even to considered. This flight was their inaugural link to Barcelona from HK, which you might rated on increased effort, but it didn't. The return from Barcelona was even worse. Given my experience Cathay need to very urgently review their operation.

Flew Cathay Pacific May 2017 Sydney Via Hong Kong to Heathrow London I flew Business Class . Whilst the plane was old it was clean. From Sydney to Hong Kong I kept the water intake up with bottled water but from Hong Kong to Heathrow I couldn't drink the water it tasted 'off' The cabin crew were very helpful and tentative I ordered vegetarian meals and got served the usual vegetables in a tomato sauce. Airlines must spent thousands of dollars employing celebrity chefs to come up with menus for their passengers perhaps the Airlines could spend some money on chefs to come up with a descent vegetarian menu..........just a thought

Our family flew to Taiwan and Zurich from Perth to celebrate Christmas/New Years. There was a slight delay departing Perth but for the rest of our journey, the flight left on-time. Air hostesses were attentive and quick to respond when the call button was called. The staff were accommodating when I requested that they serve my child's dinner later since she was napping. Food, drinks and snack options were plentiful. The lounges in HK were great. Will definitely recommend to family and friends.

I have been flying with Cathay Pacific at least in the past 20 years. Their service is much better than the local airlines - Qantas. I flew from London to Hong Kong and then onwards to Sydney. The service from London to Hong Kong was great. Staff was attentive. I always remember one thing - being nice and polite to them goes a long way. Most passengers "demand". If they don't get what they want, they will say the service is bad. Cabin crews are very helpful. Always get me what I asked for. From Hong Kong to Sydney I got an upgrade to Premium Economy. Again the service was good. I had what I asked for and the flight was very pleasant. I definitely recommend Cathay Pacific to everyone as nowadays not many airlines can provide what we call 'service'.

I was very excited when I booked Premium Business class on Cathay pacific. I had seen a sample seat at a travel expo and was expecting a comfortable trip. My husband has back an leg problems & assistance was requested at the time of booking and again confirmed at check in. The whole thing turned into a debacle. We traveled from Melbourne to London return. The seats were not what we were expecting. For 3 legs of the return trip the foot rests did not work and on seat would not recline. The plane was old (clean) hence the seat problems. The assistance requested at transit in Hong Kong and at end of journey was not provided. When I questioned this I was told it could be provided for an additional fee. The team member was not interested in our issues at all. In Hong Kong I requested an upgrade to Business Class and was told it was not possible even though I was prepared to pay. Business class had very few passengers so room was not an issue. I was so disappointed with Cathay Pacific that I will not fly with them again and cannot recommend them to anyone. I expected so much more from this carrier. I actually felt cheated.

Please train them to speak better English also. You have a very reputed airline and these things will hamper your Goodwill. I was quite excited when I booked Cathay bit was finally disappointed don't know if I will ever use Cathay again. Premium economy Sydney to Hong Kong return. Only previous experience of premium economy was with qantas. So in relation to qantas...flight staff were invisible. On return flight, at about 1.30 pm at Hong Kong requested glass of wine - note that on beverages offered. An hour or so later saw an attendant and requested beverage - nothing Waited until I saw an attendant and requested again - nothing. Waited again until I saw an attendant and told to wait as a meal would be provided and they would serve me then. Finally got my beverage on the 4th request when meal served. Disappointed with the way Cathay Pacific, treated my delayed luggage. I traveled business class for work purpose and spending a day looking for alternative clothes was not the best use of time. In addition the staff could not commit a time that my luggage would be delivered, so I had to go all the way to airport to collect it at mid night. Indeed I was paid for the cab charge and the toiletries. That too , I was told I will only be reimbursed 50% but after seeing the receipt amount which was minimal your staff reimbursed all. However I wasted my time , energy and money on these things due to no fault of mine which has not been compensated in anyway

Flew on an A330-300 business class from Hong Kong to Melbourne on 26 March 2017. Having heard how good Cathay was, I was very disappointed with the elderly state of the aircraft, hardly any storage space, had to put almost everything in the above locker, such a pain. Plenty of table room and good positioning of TV. The cabin crew were medium attentive but no different from other airlines. By the time they got to my seat in business class they had run out of my choice of food. There was a very sickly smell in business class cabin, I think a disgusting air freshener...very off- putting.

Gone are the days of Cathay Pacific of 5 years or more ago it seems. Every time I fly Cathay for the last 5 years, it just got worse and worse. Their planes are old, clean but old. We fly CX every time, and every time recently it is worse. Just might have to change airlines. Each time something less of service. No salt and pepper, no water bottle, always something missing from the food tray, less cabin crew and they seem harrassed and overworked. It just is progressively becoming ordinary instead of special, how it was when we joined Marco Polo. The steward never brought the water i requested. I had to go looking for it. Even one time in business class, we just got an economy tray with no choices, the coffee did not come, the cheese and biscuits were skipped, no little classy chocolate, and only one food trolley instead of two for whole business cabin. It meant my friend on one aisle got her food, finished eating and put away before my first course even arrived. Food isn't everything, agreed, but business class should be business class. Their amenity pouch is tacky too, with tiny free "samples" inside, not anything vaguely special. Absolutely not worth the money any more. How disappointing! EDITORS COMMENT: If you got a last minute upgrade to business then you often do only get an economy meal as you wont have been catered for otherwise they should not run out of food.

Gone are the days when Cathay provided more comfort and superior service to other competitors after recently paying extra for an economy flight from Melbourne to Hong Kong. The seat was uncomfortable with very little knee room, staff on board were very good on a dated A330. I have had better seat comfort on Virgin to the USA, Jetstar Asia to Singapore and Scoot on their B787 aircraft to and from Singapore. You can save quite a few dollars shopping around for a similar experience with other airlines. I wont be flying with Cathay again and will use Qantas who offer direct flights from Melbourne at a cheaper cost on occasions.
