August/14 flew Vancouver to Manitoba, 2 hour stop over in Calgary.
I wonder why the one hour to Calgary, then the one hour to Manitoba??
Not enough people to fill the plane is my guess.
So after leaving Vancouver we are about to land 3 hours plus is Manitoba…No we aren’t…bad weather, can’t land, we head back to Calgary, another hour on plane.We are are told we will take off at 8:30 P.M, by now it is 5 (ish) ok, we will go have dinner.
At 8:30 we go to gate and are told, no, we will be delayed until 10 P.M.
By now we have been up since 6 A.M and been up, down, up, down and still not at destination!! At 10 P.M, we are told, flight has been cancelled, get luggage and go to WJ counter.
We left the luggage and got down to counter.
There were 6 people in front of us and we stood for 1.5 hours waiting our turn.
We are offered a Hotel coupon and a 5 P.M flight the next day.
We were going to a Family reunion and it would have pretty much been over so we asked to just get us back home.
We were treated fairly and given points for a future flight, stuff happens.
So, 23 hours and 3 hours of sleep at a really nice hotel, we are back home!
Frustrating? Yes but I feel for the people at the end of the line up!
