Just wanted to let everyone know that when they don’t have internet on the plane they will do nothing about it and also when you contact there customer support service well let just say they take a minimum of 5 days to get back to you and let me just say when you pay for business class ticket you think they would do a little better to resolve the problem My trip on two flights had no internet and they said they could only offer me a $50 gift card and then they never sent it to me Also before I had the same problem they sent me an $300 gift card So don’t waste your time with them as they will do nothing to compensate you at all they just tell you a bunch of lies via email and that is it Just so sad that when you are on the plane the staff goes above and beyond to make it a very good flight but they have the worst customer service care

The standout is that the Philippine Airlines website is so easily accessible on my laptop as well as their Mabuhay rewards site. Cebu Pacific website cannot be accessed on a PC despite complaining. The Cebu Pacific Go Rewards loyalty third party system is likewise not accessible in Australia. Several requests for access has failed. The PAL system is easy and automatic. Easy access is critical especially as happened in an emergency on October 4 as my Qantas international flight was late again.

Checking in is very convenient. Dropping off my luggage for check in is also simple, easy, and fast. Baggage allowance is also good. Staff from ground crew to airplane cabin are courteous, accommodating, and helpful. I always fly with PAL both for leisure and work purposes.

Philippine Airlines has been my go-to airlines especially in local flights. Their customer service has been exceptional. My recent flight where I flown business class managed to be on time arrival despite our late departure due to traffic congestion. Thank you PAL for the great service and great tortang talong breakfast.

Seat selection was not an option for a person with disability, it was automatically assigned and was not allowed to change seat. Seat was very uncomfortable and I was in pain the entire 9 hour flight. Staff was nice and professional, airline needs some updating aince it’s old it was a bit noisy, space was small.

Just did flights from LAX to BKK on Philippines Airlines and i have been using them for a few years now and always have a good experience and the cab crew are very friendly and helpful the meals are always good and they always have some very good snacks available

I recently flew on Philippine Airlines Business Class to Australia and had an overall excellent experience. The seat comfort, cabin space, and in-flight entertainment were top-notch, while customer service and the check-in process were smooth and efficient, truly reflecting the warmth of Filipino hospitality. There are still a few areas that could be improved. Baggage handling can be made more seamless, and while the meals were good, I believe the food offering could be elevated further to match the premium cabin experience. It would also be nice to see a dedicated kids’ meal option available for business class passengers traveling with children. Overall, I enjoyed the flight and look forward to seeing PAL continue enhancing their J-class service.

I recently flew with Philippine Airlines on the routes MNL–HAN–MNL and MNL–TPE–MNL, and the overall experience was excellent. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, with staff who were both polite and accommodating. Onboard, the cabin crew were consistently warm, attentive, and eager to assist with genuine smiles, which made the flights comfortable and enjoyable. The in-flight service was well organized, and safety protocols were clearly and reassuringly communicated. What made the trip even more memorable was seeing how much my grandmother enjoyed the journey. The crew’s kind and thoughtful gestures made her feel comfortable and well taken care of, which meant a lot to us. Philippine Airlines truly delivered on its promise of heartfelt service, and I look forward to choosing them again for my future travels.

I recently flew to Bangkok (v.v) with my friends, and since I had a great experience flying Business Class before, we decided to book the same cabin again—and it was the best decision we made. We were comfortable throughout the flight, and I was able to sleep soundly. The inflight entertainment had the latest movies, and while I only managed to watch one, it was nice having updated options. The food was delicious, and the wide selection of drinks was a delightful touch. Our cabin crew made sure we were well taken care of, and upon landing, our bags were among the first to arrive on the carousel thanks to the priority tagging. I’ll definitely be booking Business Class again on my next trip and recommend it to my friends and family!

I previously flew from Singapore to Manila and was pleasantly surprised when the check-in agent upgraded me and my companion to Business Class. We were asked to wait for a short while, and then the agent informed us of the upgrade—it truly felt like a birthday treat! The experience was superb. I got to ride the new aircraft, enjoyed a comfortable sleep throughout the flight, and the meal was delicious. The crew was also very polite and accommodating, showcasing genuine Filipino hospitality.

Flight Review for Philippine Airlines (PR 126 – MNL to JFK, January 16, 2025) Rating: ⭐️⭐️ Class: Premium Economy Experience: Disappointing Customer Service Review: While Philippine Airlines provides a generally comfortable flight experience, my recent interaction with their myPAL Upgrade program left much to be desired. I bid the maximum amount for a Business Class upgrade but was informed my bid was not selected, with no opportunity to bid higher. I reached out via email (case #01629102), social media, and even visited the Makati branch in person. Although the staff admitted errors in processing my bid, no resolution was offered. Adding to my frustration, five Business Class seats remained blocked with no transparency about their availability. The lack of communication and accountability overshadowed the positive aspects of the flight. Philippine Airlines needs to improve its transparency and customer service, particularly with premium services like upgrades. I hesitate to recommend the airline to travelers seeking a reliable experience.

Canceled my flight and did not refund my funds, despite repeated request. I had to file a complaint with the FAA to get them to respond and finally refund most of my money. When I booked with them later on a flight from Honolulu to Manila, they forced everyone on the flight at the last minute to buy flight insurance, which is illegal. Of course it was a disaster and the flight was delayed as passengers were standing around on their phones trying to find a carrier and show proof…. They stop this requirement after so many complaints but never offered an apology or refund.

I travelled with a stroke patient plus my 2 yr old daughter but had a difficult time at check in counter. I experienced a power tripping supervisor. Unbelievable. I have raised my complaint to PAL. There is no inflight entertainment at all, a pain travelling during the day. Not booking this airline again.

Sadly, they covid cancelled May 2020 flights UK to Manila and internal. Been trying since then to get the refund they agree we are entitled to. All we actually get is lies and zero contact. Have now had to sue them, we shall see what happens.

A highly frustrating experience caused by Philippine Airlines being irresponsible on two separate occasions. First, by changing my 2 hour layover to a 12 hour overnight one without offering any compensation (as required by EU law), nor accommodation. Then, by not refunding me on time for this cancelled flight. It is now 40 days after the cancelled flight and no money to be seen. No responses to emails, calls are a waste of time. Have called them for hours now. They put you on hold, pass you from person to person, and when they are asked for proof that the payment has gone through, they cut the line.

I prepaid my extra luggage online and printed my booking reference where it stated how much extra luggage allowance I have. At the checkin counter in Manila they told me they have no record of my extra luggage. When I showed them my receipt I was advised I need the "real" receipt apparently sent by email. Nobody could tell me why my booking reference included the extra luggage. No arguing or discussion with supervisor and on-site manager helped. Because I had not prepaid according to them the double-rate applied. Absolutely abysmal! Sheer highway robbery! What an airline and what management. I will avoid these guys in future! So for ripping me off an extra 3,000 Peso they lost much more in future business. PAL is a disgrace for the Philippines and its wonderful people. What a welcome! I filed a complaint with the airline and they assured me I will get a response. That was 2 months ago.

Arrived with broken foot, bone smashed and 5 screws, in a jack boot. Simple request for a wheelchair.... Too hard... all wheel chairs in another terminal.... waited an hour. Get me on the plane, told me could not sit with partner / carer. Food bad, Customer service zero. Crappy seats on tired plane

Philippne Airlines flight on PR 113 from Los Angeles California to Manila on October 17th, 2018. Inflight food average 4/10. Cabin crew service is poor as they don't attend passengers needs such as giving out water after meal service. Passengers left dehydrated for a 15 hour straight flight and no mi flight snacks served as indicated on their inflight menu. Economy class passengers received poor service compared to thier Business Class. Cabin crews are nowhere to found after every meal service. Inflight Entertainment is 2/10 and the same movies I've watched 1 year ago. Wifi on board not working on their B777-300er.

London to Manila. We booked flights for Thursday 7th June. 3 weeks before our flight date we have been told that the flight is cancelled and we either have to fly a day later and miss the wedding or a day earlier and have to take unpaid leave and deal with work complications because of it. If we had known before we would have chosen a different airline, however 3 weeks before the flight date flights have sky rocketed in price and suitable flights not available so is not an option. What's more the flights we now were cheaper at the time of booking so we have now also overpaid for a flight we did not want. No compensation or apology from Philippines Airlines so far. Very poor service and terrible reliability.

It was my first time to fly on our flag carrier on a Manila-Singapore-Manila flight. PR511 is an Airbus A321-200 with no seat-back entertainment system so I have to be content on reading the Mabuhay Magazine for a 3 hour journey. Maybe the pilot missed the distance of lowering the plane's altitude on our final approach to Changi Airport so the aircraft suddenly dives and it was a hair raising experience but the landing was smooth. On my return leg to Manila on PR508 they used an old Airbus A330-300 and still with no seat back entertainment. Both airplanes are equipped with on-board wifi using pre-downloaded PAL apps but I am not a fan of using mobile devices while travelling because it makes me dizzy. When we arrived at Terminal 2 there were no airbridge available so all 300+ passengers have to go down on stairs at the tarmac and transported inside by several buses. It was like arriving from a domestic flight on a budget carrier. I don't feel that 4 star Skytrax rating in terms of equipment. Overall... it was a good experience and hoping for a better journey next time.

I flew Philippine Airlines from MNL to LHR on a Boeing 777-300ER on the first week of February after being recommended by a friend. Yes, fares were so cheap, great value for money. Although I understand the airline is undergoing improvements, I would like to point out that there is still a lot of work that needs to be done on their cabin and seats—from ambience down to seat comfort. I hope they will soon opt for a total makeover of their cabins or else their great service will just be marred by a bad environment. Remember, first impressions last, for some. Honestly, I don't like the airport in MNL but I am not traveling to see airports though. But what made my flight great were the people. They were extremely attentive and friendly, without looking orchestrated, that I even made friends with two of the staffs. And also, no offense but what sets them apart from other Asian carriers I flew before was how proficient they were in English, I did not have difficulty communicating with them. I was also surprised with how flexible their meal selections were for an economy class flight. The IFE is not that bad but still needs upgrading. It could be better if it will have screens like the ones I flew with on Emirates coupled with a responsive UX similar to SIA's KrisWorld which I really have appreciated. All in all, I would love to recommend it to my relatives who plan to go to Palawan, the Philippines for their vacation next month.

I am a Filipino based in Riyadh, normally flies with PAL to Manila or via Manila. I have flown with PAL on business class to MNL, SYD, SFO, NRT and my experience varies as PAL uses different type of aircraft per destination. On their 10hrs Riyadh flights they are using A330 bi-class with 18 full flat business class seats with unworkable wifi and no IFE, instead they provide iPad upon request with limited selection of movies. Inflight service is good but meals not as great as US bound flights. On their 8hrs Sydney flight on an old A340 (now A330 TriClass) business class with no IFE, iPad upon request instead, seats not fully flat but comfy. On their 14hr flight to SanFrancisco they are using the new B777 with updated IFE with 3D map in every seat, meal service with attention to details. On my business class trip to Tokyo NRT on an A330TriClass, i can say this is the best product they have with all aisle access 1-2-1 seating, Wide HD IFE in every seat, but no amenity kit and no pre-arrival meal for 4hrs flying time. Other Asian carriers provide full amenity kit on business class even for 2hrs flying time. Still has alot to be improved to achieve atleast 4stars. Mode lighting should be installed as it makes a difference in cabin. Outside camera should be added. Mabuhay Lounge at T2 is pretty ordinary. T1 still no Lounge access for Elite/Business class passengers bound to Middle East but they provide voucher for Starbucks only. There should be atleast 2 toilets on A330 business class (currently only 1). B777 business class seating should be 2-2-2 or 1-2-1 like Cathay, still they have 2-3-2. Hope their A350 will be at par with other Asian carriers.

Manila to London was a new experienced flying with Pal they are now using B777-300ER which is really good beacuse it is equipped with individual seatback tv monitor , unlike before with an old A340 that you have to deal with a boring longhaul flight because no individual audio video tv seatback, good food ,attentive and friendly cabin service by the flight attendants onboard ..thumbs up!!

Booked flight from London to Auckland, via Manila. Informed 2 weeks before due to leave that Manila - Auckland leg delayed 24 hours. No explanation or apology, and told that any re-arrangements were our responsibility. Had to book accommodation in Manila, and also in Auckland as now could not get home same day, plus needed new flights from Auckland. Check ins both at London and Manila abysmally slow, not enough staff. PAL terminal at Manila very badly signed, and gate waiting area had no water or toilets so had to go out and back through security. Plane from Manila freezing cold, airline staff could, or would, not remedy. No entertainment on this plane, on two 4-5 hour flights. Took us 5 days to get home, completely exhausted. After complaining, offered flying points (which we were probably entitled to anyway), and then refused to answer. NEVER AGAIN.

New B777-300ER from Manila-London is a great relief for all UK bound passengers as PAL replace the Old and A340-300, this new B777 is equipped with individual tv monitorwhich i have enjoyed most during my whole longhaul flight , and as usual friendly flight sterwardess/steward onboard the aircraft, inflight meal is really good.

Kudos to the well improved staff of PAL .The flight attendants are way better than before. They are younger and are typical Filipinas when they treat their passengers. Good thing those old rude junks are slowly retiring but a few are still around. The pilots are amazing on their landing and I feel safe with them. God bless PAL. Mabuhay!

PhIippine Airlines from JFK-YVR-MNL-YVR-JFK is okey, Fiesta Class(Economy) is better than other American Airlines that i have flown, very professional cabin crew some of them are little bit young, but they are working good, polite and friendly. i am a vegetarian and ordered special veggie meal so they served my meal first among the rest of the passengers and i like my vegetarian meal,.but the inflight entertainment system on the tv monitor is Not in High Definition and i hope Pal will improved it someday. i will rate 8 because individual tv seatback in not HD.

This is a new Philippine Airlines when it comes to comfort flying from Honolulu- Manila Flight number PR101 Airbus 330 is now equipped with 3 class business/premium economy and economy, which is a big difference from my last flight with Pal 5 years ago ,good food and friendly cabin staff onboard.

Just Wanna Share my flight experienced with Philippine Airlines Flight PR119 and PR118 from Toronto Pearson International Airport - Manila International Airport and Vice Versa , and it is indeed true that Pal's flight attendants are now amazing ,they are really friendly , kind and attentive to work., i saw one of them fixing an eledrerly passenger' blanket to cover her well , which i only saw in some airline advertisement before..my flight back to Toronto with PR118 was another amazing job by the flight attendant making a child comfortable in his seat upon giving the kiddie meal..for this i have my reason to make Philippine Airlines my priority airlines whenever i will travel back to the Philippines.
