Scoot review by Andy 2016-01-31

We flew from Hong Kong to Perth with connection in Singapore. We chose this flight due to the booking stating that we would not have to recheck in baggage in the connection like some of the other flights available, so when we arrived at Check-In and were asked to pay an additional fee to ensure this we were not very happy. I went through my booking confirmations with eDreams and Scoot but could find no mention of Scoot-Thru. When we attempt to explain this or speak to a supervisor, we were either flat-out ignored or told it was too early for anyone else to be here that could help. We paid the additional charge. After we took off, I asked for a glass of water but apparently with Scoot they do not offer any free drinking water, only sell bottles of water and I would have to wait until the trolley comes past. I understand that on a budget airline drinks and snacks would need to be purchased, but not to offer water on a 5hour flight is ridiculous, and to deny someone water because the trolley had not made it to their row was quite shocking as I was rejected again when I asked for water from the galley (willing to pay). Finally, the seats were cramped with zero neck support or comfort.

EDITORS COMMENT: Most low cost carriers don’t provide free water – not something we agree with but they are well within their rights not to. No low cost airline (Jetstar, Scoot, Airasia) on that five hour route offers free water.
Scoot thoo needs to be made more clear.
