    My 14th trip to Philippines from NZ. 18 Dec Auckland to Manila.
    Service from flight attendants is good.
    Food was ok.
    In flight entertainment in Business Class is not impressive.
    The biggest negative was the seat. I paid 4000 dollars to travel Business Class as I needed to be comfortable. I am 6 feet tall and carrying a middle age spread. I am willing to pay more for extra comfort but the Business Class seat was the worst I have encountered. Minimal recline, no footrest, no calf rest. After 12 hours of flying my back was quite strained and I had back pain for next 6 days. Almost ruined my trip to Philippines.
    This was no Business Class. It is Premium Economy at best and should be advertised accordingly.
    In conclusion, the crew did their best. Thank you. Unfortunately PAL should seriously consider upgrading the seating in Business Class or risk tarnishing the reputation of this very new service from NZ. I will fly Business Class again in next 6 months but will likely go with Malaysia Airlines to Manila from Auckland as they are upgrading the A330-300 with full reclining seats and the price is about the same (4000 dollars).

    EDITORS COMMENT: PAL do need to upgrade their offering – it seems though that they are downgrading things more than upgrading now having 9 across in economy on the A330
