    A warning to all those considering flying Philippine Airlines: I’ve spent 5+ hrs on the phone, sent emails, waited 10 days; still nothing. I’m not asking for white-glove service, just the common decency to assist a customer that paid $5200 for a trip. A complaint will be filed with the US DOT’s ACPD.

    1. My flight was rescheduled w/o notification from PAL (my wife and toddler’s tickets were unchanged).

    2. 3+ hrs on the phone & I was able to bump our flight forward by 24-hours (greatly appreciated).

    3. Got verbal & email communication, stating that the 3 tickets were confirmed; here’s proof: https://youtu.be/01o2abIuzmQ.

    4. PAID AN ADDITIONAL $20/SEAT ON THE FLT THAT WE APPARENTLY DIDN’T HAVE SEATS ON.

    5. Check-in took 3+ hours (with 6 boxes, 3 carry-ons & a restless 3 y.o. in tow). The desk agent had to call PAL reservations to fix the mess left by the phone agent not reissuing our tickets.

    6. A bag was damaged beyond repair on our return leg. 1 wk after submitting a formal complaint and nothing.

    I called the one available U.S. number, only to be informed that I’d need to call the number in Manila to request an update to my damage claim and complaint.
